Anyone know what the skinniest and cheapest 37” tire out there is to mount on a stock 17” Jeep wheel just for a spare?

I’m looking for a skinnier tire than a 12.50 so I can put it on the stock wheels that came in my JT.

If it’s being ran on the black generic steel rim and its only function is as a spare you will be just fine….

Photo attached are 37x12.5r17’s ran on factory rubicon wheels (7.5” wide…. Same as the Jt wheel width)
Ran 3 sets of patagonias on stock wheels before throwing down on beadlocks. If you run them consistently on too narrow of a wheel they tend to have the centers wear faster…. Really can’t find a happy median due to the rim width. But again…. If it’s a spare, and one you don’t cycle in rotation- it’s going to get you home just fine.

Adding comments for assurance- ride your own ride. I just figure you specifically stated it’s not getting rotated in. Might as well go with the cheapest off road tire to just sit and be drug over things while sitting under the vehicle ???

Just a couple years back a narrow rim with a wide tire was referred to as a poor man’s beadlock ?

Thanks. I didn’t know I could fit a 12.50 wide tire on a stock wheel. I run Patagonia M/T’s now. I’ll just pick up another one then. Thanks!

Unfortunately where I live there aren’t many trails if any! Mostly old logging roads and seasonal roads. So a cheap tire (if there is such a thing) would work just fine in my situation. I mostly carry a plug kit and air compressor in my truck at all times.
