Looking for any advice I can get. May have a chance to buy used with only 500 miles for $800. I know Skyjacker isn't top of the line etc but i'm not planning on doing any major rock crawling. This set up does have their Black Max shocks just not sure how good those are.

On road use needs nice parts too. Maybe even nicer parts.

Worn out bushings/joints are tolerable at off road speeds. No good when on road causing wobbles in the front and pulling in the rear.

Same with shocks, you'll notice them more when cruising on the road at higher speeds vs slow off road crawling.

I installed their 3.5" front / 2" rear kit on mine, with the extended coils in the front and the spacers in the rear. I opted for the M95 shocks, so cant comment on the black max ones.

For the most part, Ive been really happy with it. Ive been running it for about 15,000 miles, through multiple states and lots of offroad trips. I did switch a few things out though:

1) Sway link bushings rotted out almost immediately. Their bushings are garbage, but sway links are cheap. Also found that I wanted to change the angle of the links slightly. Im currently running JK sway links front and back, as they came in the lengths I wanted and were compatible. Cost me around $70 to replace the front and rear.

2) I replaced the track bar that came with the kit - not so much a negative reflection on them, I didnt have any problem with it, just was going through and beefing everything up, installed a Steersmarts Yeti after running the Skyjacker one for around 5000 miles.

3) I am replacing the M95 struts now, but again, not a negative reflection on skyjacker - the M95`s performed really well on many off road trips and as a daily driver. Im just swapping them out because I want fancy stuff with separate reservoirs. I did find the M95 struts to be an improvement over the OEM struts that came with the Willys JT.

Im a big fan of doing stuff this way, buying a cheaper kit and then swapping out the parts that you want or need to be fancy and expensive. If I was starting over, with the experience I have now, Id grab that kit and used the money I saved vs the original price to swap out a few parts and a do a frankenlift.

Nice info thank you. Thats what my thoughts were. Shocks i can always upgrade later and i can add the additional control arms when i'm ready.

Don't think the deal will go through now since seller does not have part #'s to confirm.
