In person it doesn’t. There’s a fairly big difference between the JL tan leather and the JT Saddle
I'd call the JL ones beige lol

I wish they were darker brown, but we've discussed that. The JK version of dark saddle is tan too. Assuming they're the same.

I believe you're the only one here who's seen it in person, so I have a question for you. How do you think it would look with Gobi? I'd really like anything lighter than black because they'll be in the sun a lot, but I'm afraid it'll be too much tan on Gobi.

Honestly I think it would look really good with Gobi. I do wish it was darker, but tbh it’s still enough of a contrast from Gobi that I think it will look good.

For me, I wish that they had an actual Tan leather or at least offered the tan cloth on the Rubicon because that’s actually what I wanted with Gator, and a tan top. I know the JL can be ordered with a tan top now, so I’m hoping that it will follow with the Gladiator or that Bestop will make one.

But back to your question I’d 100% go with the Dark Saddle on the Gobi. That’s actually my backup choice if Gator ends up not looking good.

I use leather conditioner on the boots I wear, over time the leather gets a little more dark/rich, much like, well... a saddle.

Sweet, thanks! I'm veering between Gator and Gobi. I just gotta see Gator. If Gator looks like I hope it will, it would look amazing with a tan top.

I'm thinking about painting mine from grey to hydro blue to match the exterior, but I'm not sure yet.

There are a lot of folks saying that the late availability colors will be available to order day 1. I was curious what is leading people to believe this? History with the JL says that you can only order first release colors until the late colors are released. Was something communicated that indicates when customer orders start late colors are available?

No paint for me, but I have/had given thought to a'WRAP' -- similar to the WRAP on my Drift boat . It is/was something I'm considering for the sides of the JT (or JL) especially if I go with the Sting Gray (similar color of my Drift boat. Of course it would need to be shrunk big time for the right side of the dash !

Expensive it is . . . but if I go Gator, not sure it would work ? Having the Jeep & the Boat looking like "kissing cousins" would really look cool when hitched up ! Yes ?

Can't remember where that rumor came from. It's somewhere around here. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have tried to find it but had no luck. If I recall correctly, it was mentioned in the very first post giving April 9th as the ordering date. the person who posted that also mentioned that the dealer with that info also said the late availability colors would be available to order at that time as well.

I'm thinking Late Availability colors will be available after the initial run and hit dealers in July/August time.

I'm thinking still time / room for flexibility on the timing . . . writing "in stone" isn't as easy as you would think -- just ask the "Caveman," in the commercials (help me out here STEFF, got an insert photo handy) ! ? ;).
Flexibility = Forum Input grips x # of Jeep Forums (worldwide) / (divided by) "pi" + # of Paint Colors / (divided by) gallons of paint per color + # of man-hours per day. As usual I multitasked this while :ontheloo: . . . by the way "loo" and Lou are NOT one in the same ! :)
