Ya, so basically the same as the factory warranty.

IE: If you have a non MOPAR lift on and your engine shits the bed, you can still get your engine replaced. Having a lift doesn't void your entire warranty.

If you have geico, get the mbi. 100k miles or 7yrs, 250 deductible per incident but it's only $10 a month extra for me. Wont cover aftermarket mods but what warranty does? Got it mainly for the engine and electrical components.

I noticed some of the Chrysler warranty sites talk about only warrantying a MOPAR lift installed by a dealer.

Anyone know if they mean the whole extended warranty is void with a non MOPAR lift installed or what?
Never filed a mbi claim but multiple claims for hitting a deer and cars hitting me while my car was parked before my jeep. Never had a single issue, they processed my claim quickly.

I got my 8 year/60K mi deal from Mopar recently...I don't commute to work and mostly use the Mojave for off road and other fun as well as occasional pick-up truck duties as they come up every once in a while. So there is a good chance I will not even drive the 60K mi in 8 years. But I wanted the most time they offer. I have another car for running choirs and what-not.

I thought it was a very reasonable price and if I never use it - lol, in 2030 I get all my money back (stipulated in the contract). Not much downside giving what even one repair might cost. And if it never happens, well - refund.

Something... something... software.
I have been wondering if the extended warranty is worth it if I do a bunch of mods so I asked Tom for the contract language around warranty vs modifications and this is what he sent...

FYI-Without the lift coverage, here is the contract language in part.....

THE PLAN WILL NOT COVER, OR APPLY TO LOSS OR EXPENSE RESULTING FROM:

• Repairs due to any alterations or modifications to the Vehicle not approved or recommended by the manufacturer, including but not limited to: (a) failure of any custom or add-on/aftermarket part (unless listed as a specific covered part); (b) emissions and/or exhaust systems modifications; engine modifications, transmission modifications, and/or drive axle modifications, which includes any performance modifications; (c) oversized/undersized tires; (d) a suspension modifications; (e) aftermarket lift kits; (f) Mopar lift kits (unless you have purchased this coverage as shown on the first page);

• Lift kits that exceed four (4) inches unless you have purchased Mopar Lift Kit Coverage as shown on the first page; repairs to covered components that are the direct result of the failure of a lift kit that exceeds four (4) inches unless you have purchased Mopar Lift Kit coverage as shown on the first page;

• Repairs to covered components that are the direct result of the failure of alterations or modifications not recommended by the manufacturer;

• Repairs to a covered component caused by the failure of a non-covered component and/or an aftermarket installation not performed by a Dealer, or any outside installation of "salvage or junk" components in conjunction with an insurance or damage claim. All part installations to satisfy such claims must be with new or factory-authorized remanufactured components and parts;
I bought mine new, with the 2" Mopar lift already installed. I don't read legalese that well. Does that mean I'd still need the extra lift coverage? Or, not since it's under 4"?

Got mine from Tom. When I picked up my gladiator from dealership we discussed the warrenty and the finance manager said to buy it through Tom as that was the best price as it was the “packed” price that is usually done with fleets. I love my dealership! They did not strong arm on a single thing in finance. We were in and out in 45 minutes from arrival to leaving with gladiator. The detail shop at the dealer even took off the Sport sticker for me as a favor since I wanted a clean back to the Jeep. Saved me time with heat gun and cleaning!

Tom is the man! .. Saved me over $1000 from I was quoted at the dealer for 6yr/100k max coverage. Thanks to other forum member's for introducing me to him ? ... I would not even considered it at the dealers cost ..

Did you get that from the Mopar website or where did you get that one? I am looking at other options now besides tom since I use little mileage as well.

Mopar kept sending me paper-mail promotions every week or so even though I've had my Mojave only 3 months - LOL...Here is the number on the promotion: 1-800-336-2895.

Extended warranties are money makers for the dealers. What's the warranty cost? About $2500? Very few issues cost $2500 to fix.
Everyone told me it was such a waste of money to purchase an extended warranty on a Tacoma in 2011. Then at 70k miles, transmission and clutch assembly all went out. I was a grad student at the time and $10,000 to replace that stuff would have been untenable. Working with a dealership, at $175 an hour, many issues can cost $2,500 to fix.

I went ahead and bought a 7 year 100,000 mile warranty. Mainly because of all the electronics and the diesel. I can't work on these things like I used too; way too complicated. The girl at the dealer said that they were told that the rates were going up soon also, so repairs will cost even more. Think she said $100 an hour.
$175/hour in the Fort Collins area ?

It is Mopar Maxcare typical $100 deductible. Talk to Clay Robbins at Robbins Motor Company.
As far as I'm aware, the standard options for Mopar are 100 or 200 deductible. I can't, for the life of me, imagine anyone choosing the 100 deductible. $100 is peanuts when you're talking about sophisticated automotive diagnostics and repairs.

I purchased the extended warranty the time of purchase. I also had the dealer install 2.5" EVO lift, 37" tires and rims, track bars, and Tazer. I had them document that all work and parts were included in all current and extended warranty coverage. Generally don't do extended warranties but feel I got a good overall deal on this one.
That's crazy. None of the dealerships in my area will touch anything that doesn't have Mopar written on it. They even gave me shit about 35" tires potentially voiding my warranty. Smart to get that in writing.
