So how many Mojave owners have had steering issues or the box replaced?

Update on my story..... I aired down from the dealer 40psi to 36 and the ride and steering are so much better. It cruises smoothly on the freeway with little need for the small adjustments I was having to do before. The only downside is it picked up a little softness on high speed turns.

Anyway... Thanks to the tips and I will definitely discuss the steering box when I bring the Mojave in for service.

Went from JLRU to Mojave and I was all over the road at highway speeds. TSB completed 2000 miles ago and the difference is very noticeable. Night and day for me. I have 100% confidence driving as fast as I’d like, potholes and all. It’s no sedan, but it’s the best riding Jeep I’ve owned and I’ve had wranglers for nearly 30 years.

I also got mine done about 300 miles ago. Mine was not “too” bad. But I just came back from a little camping trip and it was absolutely easier keeping the trailer straight.

Thanks all for the feedback. I will work with the dealer on getting the box replaced.

Mine wasn’t bad either but I didn’t want it to get worse and I got lucky I had mine replaced within 24 hours of walking into the dealer

Got mine replaced about 30 days ago with 2000 miles on it. Was not bad but did it. Did not notice huge difference. Original box was tighter than my JLU i traded for my JT.

About 1500 miles on mine and it wanders a little. It really depends on the road and whether or not the wind is blowing hard. The other day I had about a 90 minute drive in very gusty winds and it was not fun.

Dumb question - how do I view the steering box? Where is it?

I had it done in December and also had my drag link replaced. Huge difference. Now it drives great. I also put the fox steering stabilizer on too.

I talked to two dealers one wanted to look at it first the other said yeah no problem. However the wait was pretty long and I felt the parts guy was going to drop the ball so I reached out to Jeep Cares. They expedited it and was done two weeks later. They also expedited tbr drag which was also on back order. Jeep cares was pretty great. They also didn't give me a hard time about the TSB so not sure why some dealers are doing that.

How do you know the 'resolution' wasn't the stabilizer or drag link?

They weren't done at the same time. Did stablizer myself first and then had the steering box changed out. Huge difference. Drag link replaced two weeks later and that made it perfect.
