The JTR comes with reusable gaskets, not sure if the other Dana 44's do but something you may want to check.
That cover fit a 3rd gen D44?
Parts from Quadratec came to just over $1700I think I'm gonna go this route If I get another stimmy lol. I'll stimulate the economy and my foot at the same time. How much do the parts and labor typically run? I'm running 35x12.5 Duratracs.
My local shop did my Dana 4:88s for $1540, parts and laybor. Most on the forum are getting them done between $1500-$1700.I think I'm gonna go this route If I get another stimmy lol. Assuming you got a good job, thats an exceptional deal! Book time and our regional labor rate is more than your whole job.......My local shop did my Dana 4:88s for $1540, parts and laybor. Most on the forum are getting them done between $1500-$1700.
the first place I called quoted $2600 and said the gladiators needed some special hardware. So I crossed them off my list. Then I found the place all the keep guys go. So do some research.
pretty much everyone and their grandmother, that races or off roads, goes here. So I’m feeling good about the quality of work. The place had several custom crawlers inside. They are legit.Assuming you got a good job, thats an exceptional deal! Book time and our regional labor rate is more than your whole job.......
I own a drivetrain shop, so I know whats involved...... $2k for a complete gear job w/ bearings and seals was 10 year's ago pricing.pretty much everyone and their grandmother, that races or off roads, goes here. Seems like everyone else on this forum paid around the same price. So I would shop around. Like I said before, the first place was over a $1000. And they sounded like they new less about what they were doing.
it’s a 4-6hr job. So the labor shouldn’t be more than a $1000. I dropped mine off at 9am and picked it up at 1:30. Gears about $500.
Well then I don't why I and everyone else on this forum and the Wrangler forums are getting regears done for around $1600, across the country. The place I took mine too is top notch, so I have no worries about the quality of work. This is all they do. axles and regears. My install was fpretty quick in comparison to what I see others getting. It does look like 4-6hrs per axle is the norm.I own a drivetrain shop, so I know whats involved...... $2k for a complete gear job w/ bearings and seals was 10 year's ago pricing.
5-6 hours per axle is the flat rate time. $120+hr for a quality shop in our area.
What was the turn around on the job?I paid $2200 all in for parts and labor to go to 5.13’s. More than satisfied.
