First trail on our first trip to Moab. We hit up Sand Hollow first and had a great time, Jeep was a beast on most of the obstacles there. So we were feeling very confident.

Moab first trail, Moab Rim. I don't like shelf roads so this might have been a bad call for our first run in Moab, wife saw the trail heading up the edge of the cliff as we pulled into the parking area and was not happy.

We made it up with no issues, but coming we were just a little too far drivers coming down a small ledge.

Very lucky my spotter told me to give it gas or I might have put it on it's lid.

Moab Rim and Kane Creek were definitely not our favorite trails of the week. Suprisingly Rose Garden Hill was the most fun.

That’s the first Moab trail I ever did. Definitely an eye opener, and I was in a Samurai on 31’s LOL

It's a natural reaction for most people, but about the worst thing you can do when dropping one wheel down a ledge like that is to get hard on the brake at the bottom. Momentum and the rear suspension unloading can then send you ass over tea kettle. Best thing if you feel things getting tippy is to let off the brake and let the vehicle roll while steering downhill, or give it some throttle if the wheels stop rolling.

Just as that front tire started to drop I heard Richard Dreyfuss in my head "Bad line, Ted. Bad line, Ted!"

Nice that it worked out great and to see the video of the event it was so close. That rear end sure looked like it weighed nothing when it went for the sky.

Yes my spotter who was behind me yelled to get on the gas and I think that saved it. I was just looking at the spot where my drivers A pillar was going to land.

I know never was really worried about rolling in this direction being so long. And the rear is anything but light with a 40" tire and bunch of tools in the drawers.

That was a butt-pucker for sure.
I would love to hear how it did up Rose Garden Hill. That is a beast of a hill, with some serious ledges. You made it up? Congrats.

After our experiences on Moab Rim and Kane Creek was not really looking forward to Rose Garden. But for the actual hill climb there was not much exposure which I do not like. We all had our winches ready to use, but while there were some good size rocks and ledges we all made it up with not much fuss. There were a couple shelf road sections after the climb that were too tight for my liking, but the actual climb was very fun. This combined with Onion Creek and Top of the World was our favorite trail we did in Moab.

That's likely why you did not flip, that extra weight was just enough.
