Yea at 26’ or 33, it’s all the same going down the road, turns are about the same. Weight is the biggest factor, and for me this tt for the bill for me. Has two bedrooms, open layout ... all at 5900 dry weight. The layout is awesome!!!

it was like msrp of 33k, I negotiated to 24.5 otd, then laid them another 1k to deliver it about 1100 miles (I did the math wasn’t worth my time and gas).

Damn man that is nice, that is the layout I really wanted, but couldn't find anything like that on the used market.

yea I have the side view mirror extensions. My rear view has a 7” screen and is wide view, so the dead spots on the sides of the rear of the trailer are picked up picked up by the Camera.
I have the extensions as well, but I found the cameras that replaced the side markers giving me a way better view. at $189 for the pair it was well worth the money on those.

33, the back up camera is essential
Let me know when you come out to Colorado and traveling I-70 west after the eisenhower tunnel so I can plan to stay off the interstate as its pushing you down the mountain and the winding decent lol.

Not sure if you were aware, there’s something called a brake controller that actually stops the trailer from pushing the tow vehicle. Yes, they were innovative enough to have different settings to control the amount of braking being applied to just the trailer.

Jeep doesn’t offer an OEM one yet, you can get an after market one and it’s plug and play. Im glad I could enlighten you.

Also, I’m in Virginia, we don’t have mountains, just hills.

have a good day, move on to Facebook

I’ve done two 150 mile round trips with my travel trailer, it’s about 6000 dry and 6650 loaded. I have a Redarc elite brake controller, 10k WDH w sway control friction bars/pads. Honestly overall I’m surprised at how well it does. Gets around 11mpg. There were a few really steep climbs on the last trip, to the I’m confident enough we are taking it to the mountains next month. I go slow, mainly 55, no greater than 60mph.

I looked into this! What is your Gross towing weight on those class A’s? I so want to do this!
Tow capacity is 5000 pounds, so I'm right at it with the Gladiator Rubicon. It is lighter than my 18' car trailer hauling my now sold built TJ. I had trailered the TJ for years with this motorhome, and our previous class C.
No problems.

the GVWR is 7680... it’s kind of niche with the size, interior space and weight. Not many within those specs that’ll sleep 11 people

Ah ok that makes sense now. So your Jeep is rated at 7650 with the max tow etc.? So you are right at the max and no issues? Thats great!

no, I’m about 6650 loaded. So mine JT should be at 7650 or (8200 max per the mopar site). I called my dealer and they said it was 8200... and that max tows vary based on specs (top, bed cover etc)

If I was ever to do over 7650 I’d get it in writing, but I won’t be doing that;)

We tow our Gladiators!

This is my future goal. Then I can go nuts on modding my gladiator and not worry about effecting it’s towing capabilities.

Yours is very similar to ours. We just have double bunks at the back, not the bunk house. It’s definitely glamping.

Yeah Im pretty familiar with them. Have one in my f150 and the redarc tow pro elite in the wife’s GC. If you’ve never driven that stretch then you have no idea. Ive driven & towed through this stretch more times than I can count. You also have hurricane force winds at times. Ive also towed 15k behind a super duty down this stretch.

im pretty sure I won’t be taking my rig out in a hurricane. If I decide to, I’ll let you know, but for now my logic tells me it wouldn’t be the best of ideas.

Kudos on towing 15k behind your super duty, on what sounds like a really tough stretch, I don’t plan on towing that much with a gladiator.
