Soft top in winter?

My gladiator came with the premium soft top. When I had my wrangler I parked it in the garage for the winter. I won't be doing that with the gladiator so how is the soft top in winter and covered in snow? Does it hold up or start leaking? I am interested in getting rid of the soft top for a hard top but the budget doesn't allow for it right now. If the soft top holds up in Pennsylvania winters I may just keep the soft top.

I live in Iowa and have the factory Sailcloth material soft top. I’ve had the truck in Iowa for three years and have had no issues. I wouldn’t let snow stay on the soft top to avoid stretching it, but it should be fine if it’s just a fresh snowfall over night and removed the next morning. The top holds heat really well and I have had no leaks. I don’t plan on ever replacing it with a hard top.

Stay in the soft top club, it’s way better than hard tops.

Live in NJ and haven’t had a problem in to winters yet. Love the ease of just two latches and flip it back.

The only thing I don't like about the soft top is the wind noise. Can get pretty bad down the interstate especially in opposing winds. Other then that I've enjoyed it, can't beat the flip and go. Agree with the above post, live in the Colorado mountains and nothing notable during the Winter. I broom off the top but just because of weight but technically the law. (Unless I'm in a hurry then I just punch the top and the snow goes flying off as I drive down the road. )

Owned my gladiator since Oct 2020 in Michigan with the premium soft top. Never a leak or any issues.

I will say its night and day difference then my 2010 JKUR with the basic vinyl soft top. That top sucked and although it never leaked, it was noisy and cold etc in the winter. This premium material soft top is outstanding.

My Glad has the premium soft top, No winter issues. I do treat it with the cleaner and reconditioner they recomend every 6 months. Water beads up on the top . I think it's a 3 m product. Top looks like the day I picked it up. No discloration or stains.

Get a cab cover …….something to cover it while parked outsie.

I'm in Pa. as well. I purchased a kit from Best Top, which contains a soft top cleaner and protectant as well as a cleaner for the vinyl window. Used it twice a year and no problems. Good luck..

Just finished the 1st Alaskan winter with my soft top, no issues, no leaks.. did throw In a hothead headliner though, definitely helps with temperature and road noise

What is the cleaner and reconditioner that you use ?

I used Maguirers convertable top cleaner, and 303 convertable top reconditioner and water proofing. I used it on the T- tops when I had a boat. It works great. sorry , there not 3m products as I first stated.
