. For anyone who has had a soft top. On days like today in the northeast. where it is colder then you know what. Is the jeep heat system able to keep the interior temp warm?

I too wanna know.

It was so cold in Wisconsin ,my grand caravan wouldn't change from defrost to blowing at face or feet. Guess stuck on defrost is better than stuck on feet.

I have a soft top TJ that I’ve puttered around with in the mountains of New Mexico, and my heater has always been able to keep up. But, a TJ is a heck of a lot smaller inside than a JKU or a JLU.

It defaults to that position when something fails. I know. I own a Jeep.

My YJ heater could keep up in Wisconsin winters, no problem. Also much smaller interior. I did however usually put a hard top on for the winter just cause I had both. Besides when I knew I wasn’t going topless (Wisconsin winter) I preferred the hard top for security and noise reasons, warmth wasn’t the main factor.

I've only owned soft top Jeep's. YJ and JKU, both had no problem keeping up with cold weather here in Colorado. Granted it wasn't -30°. Occasionally I couldn't get the rear window back in during cold snaps and i was ok driving to work in the 20s.

Every single wrangler I've owned...2001, 2012 and 2015 had an amazing heater. My current is a 2015 JK and its blowing warm air within a couple minutes and hot air before 10 minutes. I had hot air blowing last night before I got home from my 11 minute commute from work, and it was -18.
The heat vents get so hot my wife and I wonder if they could actually melt....they have not.
