I made that change on my 2020 max tow.

You will also need to add the brackets for the hardtop. Most sellers of hardtops don’t include them as they are a PITA to remove. Available as a set on Amazon. Much cheaper than dealer. Watch a UTube video for the install on the windshield brackets.

Those brackets also need to be properly adjusted so the freedom tops are tight enough that they don't leak. Plastic trim panels need to be flexed out of the way or removed to install the brackets.

Thanks for all of the replies, good information. I did find two with hardtops, the way auto-trader lists vehicles isn't correct; some have max-tow package and trailer-tow.
I will ask for the window stickers.

Hi! Just wanted to ask if any of you had pictures of your brackets? I bought an overhead molle panel and I didn’t marked the position of the brackets and ive been looking all over to see an example of how they’re supposed to look but i cant find one. Long story short they are indeed a PITA and now theres air coming inside when on the freeway…i know i didnt put them right or maybe they’re too high up and the top is not sealing completely…?

I just did this change on my 22. I had to buy the hard top mounts for the front and sound bar.
