The idea that nothing happened before the big bang is a theory baked into the limitations of our understanding. It's akin to making definitive statements like "nothing can travel faster than the speed of light"... well sure, our understandings of the relativity of the universe tell us it's impossible, but then there's quantum entanglement which we can't fully explain yet, which violates that principle.
In fact, for all we know, the universe that to us appears ever expanding could actually be contracting, returning once again to the singularity all to start anew. On a long enough timeframe, the repetition of the singularities could explain any multiverse theory, as the only separation between independent bangs is time, which we still don't know for sure only moves in a single direction.
Is that enough bullshit for a thread like this? Because i have literally no idea what the fuck i'm talking about.
