Does the stock 7 inch stereo come with RCA pre outs to hook up an amp? Curious, i'd like to hook up a powered subwoofer and change my speakers.... Thanks
Not sure. I tapped into the rear speaker lines going through the side panel that pops off where the passenger seatbelt is for the sub. Also had to tap into the lighter for 12v auto on/off.

Were the Infinity reference 3032 plug and play or did you have to splice?
If you order from Cruchfield, the adapters for plug-and-play will be include for free. ...When adding the 3032 to the top of the dash you will need to trim the edge of the bracket....bracket is a tiny bit to big to fit without trimming...takes 30 seconds with a pair of tin snips..super easy..

I replaced the dash 3 1/2 with Kenwood Excelon KFC-X3C. Quite a noticeable improvement considering the cost and ease of install.

Probably gonna get another pair to replace the ones in the sound bar.

But that is about as far as I am going to go .. Will sound good enough for me. I don't want to have to cut things, drill things or take things apart. Plug -n- Play all the way.

Quick and inexpensive option would be to swap out the 3.5 dash and sound bar speakers.

Rather than start a new thread, thought I'd just ask here -is there a good and easy plug and play way for upgrading the 8.4"? It's fine and a light-years better than my buddy's JL with the 7", but far from mind blowing. I'd prefer to leave the knee speakers, since they're a PITA.

Were these adapters for the 4" speakers. I got these and they don't fit the 3.5" ones.
Pretty sure they were for 3.5”. Had them in my Amazon order history. I only recall issues with the 4” ones since those were bigger.

You can find 4.8 screens on eBay but you’d have to sort out the anti-theft code. Also being eBay, can’t guarantee the unit actually works.

I got my 8.4 from Infotainment.com Really easy to install and anti-theft code free. Only caveat to these refurbished screens is you can’t update the software.

I think my post was worded less than concisely, sorry about that. I bought my truck with the 8.4", I'm just looking to upgrade the speakers that are easy.

Check the Uconnect and DIY sections for speaker threads. The easiest upgrade is supposed to be the Kenwood speakers in the dash. Check Crutchfield for details on what is available and what will fit. I plan to replace the dash speakers with Kenwood's, and then see about the overhead set.

Good Thread. I am looking to just upgrade some speakers to my current 7" system for a bit better sound. Eventually I hope to move to the Stinger System to replace my current 7" but its not waterproof which is a negative
