So...I really like my Factory Rubicon wheels, but would like to have a more aggressive stance. I'm thinking about some quality hub centric wheel spacers (SpiderTrax etc). Has anyone had any experience with these causing warranty issues? I could just go with new wheels and backspacing, but I like the factory ones, especially with the StingGray paint. Any feedback appreciated.

Wheel spacers are... interesting...

Technicaly speaking they will not cause you any issues with warranty.

Practically speaking many shops won't touch your tires (including the dealer). Too many low quality spacers exist, and the shop isn't capable (or willing) to tell the difference between your quality spacers and cheap ones, so they refuse to work on anything with spacers out of liability concern. So, getting your tires rotated, or any service work that involves removing the tires gets dicey.

At least, that was my experience running Spidertrax on my JK before I finally upgraded to aftermarket rims.

Hendricks in Concord hasn't had any issue with mine with spacers on it. They didn't on my JKU either when I had warranty work done on it for a wheel bearing. They have rotated my tires each time I asked them to under the jeep wave including the 37's I had put on in February. I guess it really depends on the dealership.

Spacers are fine if you get good ones and do it right. Red loctite, 130lbs, never retorque after as it will only break the loctite. Have to be willing to trust the loctite to hold.

I did it for like 2 months while I decided on which wheels to get but I wouldn't do it forever. Some do, I wouldn't. Up to you.

These are the one I have on my JT. A year on 35's and 3 months on 37's, zero issues. Mine didn't come with the black lug nutz when I bought mine. I ran the JK ones on my JKU for the better part of 3yrs before buying new wheels with more back spacing, no issues either. Actually in over 25+ yrs of off-roading and building stuff I've never saw a set that looks like the ones I'm posting fail or heard of it from anyone. T

I've been using Spidertrax or G2 hub centric spacers for over 15 years now without issue on 4Runners, Tacomos, Tundras and Jeeps.

In fact, I just put a set of G2's (were sold out of SpiderTrax, but I've never been able to tell a difference other than color) on my Gladiator.

The bad rap spacers get are the ones that just slide over the lugs and can work loose.

I have never had any issue at all with the bolt on hub centric ones from Spidertrax or G2 over the years. Just make sure they are installed and torqued properly with RED Loctite.

I also generally like special edition stock wheels, but also like a wider stance where the tire isn't totally hidden. Has been a great solution over the years. Never had a warranty issue over it, and they were all new vehicles serviced at the dealer.

For example, on my Gladiator, I really like the Willys wheels on it, and the stock mud terrains are fine till they wear out, so once again back to spacers to get a look I'm happy with ha. I won't go much taller on tires without a re-gear, I just hate the performance loss in daily driving despite how cool big tires look.

Just some thoughts of my experience with them over the years, I know others bash them..... Just make sure you use a hub centric from a good brand installed properly, you'll be fine! In the end, the truck doesn't know or care if they are wheel spacers or just wheels with a similar backspace after all..... same end result on loads.

Here is a side picture of before and after, got the look I wanted and was able to keep my Willys wheels:
