Speaker swap

Just finished installing my Alpines in the Soundbar. Sounds good and looks good.

Now how the hell am I going to upgrade the knee panels. The passenger side is now problem, it's the driver side. Any ideas out side of completely dismantling EVERYTHING?

After seeing this picture and hearing what a pain it is to change the knee panel speakers, my stock speakers suddenly sound great! Man, the factory speakers are awesome! Perfect. No need to replace!

It's not really about true positive and true negative, it's about all the speakers being connected the same so they are all pushing in and out at the same time. When I first installed the Infinity speakers in my dash, the mid range sounded terrible, that's when I saw the wiring was reversed by the Metra adapters. Switching the Metra wires fixed the problem.

same here, i switched the metra wires too. it's a common issue people have noted on other mopar forums w/ the metra wire adapters

This is the first I've heard it affects other mopars, I thought it was just a Gladiator/Wrangler issue.

This is the first I've heard it affects other mopars, I thought it was just a Gladiator/Wrangler issue.

I hooked up the new wiring harness's and mine sound great. don't know what these other guys are doing.

So there is a way to access the driver side knee panel speaker that's less invasive but I read as far as removing the headlight knob and dimmer control then thought to myself...

"EFF THIS MAN!!! 7 out of 9 speakers is good enough."

and all we're doing is just replacing speaks that can handle more watts so they don't break up at louder volumes. but we did add tweeters to make them more clear. I also said F that after seeing the videos and sure ain't gonna pay someone a crazy amount to get them in there.

That looks awful. I’ll be keeping factory speakers until they all blow out lol

You don't have to do all that Moe to get better sound. It can be cone by replacing the dash and sound bar speakers and you can do it all yourself.

I get that. Knowing me, I wouldn’t be satisfied haha If I’m going to put the time and money into something I go all in. That’s my downfall.

Wow...

Looks like it would be quicker and less frustrating to just put a grenade above the steering column and pull the pin....
