Speaker Upgrade?

Four and a half months later I received the speakers. Well worth the wait, sounds much better, more highs!

I have the Jeep Alpine system. I was finally able to buy the upgraded front speakers from Terra Acoustics. I have been on the waiting list since Jan. . They make the new front speakers for both the Alpine system and the non-Alipine. I will let you guys know how they work out.

I installed the Terra Acoustic Speakers, and they are awesome. Bass is boosted in the dash and with the new tweeters, the highs are really nice. Much better when I have the top down. Worth every penny. Here are some pics.

I have the infinity 3032 in the dash and infinity 6530's in the soundbar. I am debating on doing the knee panel speakers.... but am really dreading tearing things apart in the driveway and losing a weekend day. Do the knee panel speakers make as big as of difference as upgrading the other speakers to you guys?

Also has anyone added a Basslink or other self contained "underseat" powered sub? I am not expecting much with it, but if i have to do the knee panel, am kind of thinking what the heck.

How are the Infinity 6530"s holding up? Do you like them?

I haven't had any issues with those or the infinities in the dash.

I am glad I went with them. I was concerned that they would overwhelm the fronts but they don't. IDK that a 6x9 would keep that balance as well -- at least with what I listen to.

Also -- I did put sound proofing on the areas i could reach on the soundbar and the pods, as well as pollyfill. I think that prolly helped as much as anything.

Thanks for the feedback! I ordered the same Infinity dash and 6530's as well. Should have them tomorrow. Do you have the Alpine 8.4 radio?

Yes, I have the 8.4. When you put them in, make sure to check the polarity of your wires. I installed everything and something sounded off. Had to reinstall everything after checking and fixing the adapters polarity on a speaker or two.

Ok was sold a set of DB Drives 6.5WDX series at a Jeep event(DB Drive booth) was told plug and play. Well I found not the case. Anyway I know that make SSV adapters and stuff. But has anyone just made the cuts for the 6.5 speakers and reused the stock grills. I still 50/50 on cutting it up.
