That is actually very common. Show up make an offer CC is best of course. and see how it goes.
I've never heard of such a thing, but it's good to know that it's common practice and I wasn't talking to someone from a hot and sandy country. I usually buy my cars from a friend of mine that is a GM at a Nissan dealership so I never negotiate. the other thing they told me is they don't lease to people from out of state, don't know if this is common or just their policy.

I'm going to hit them with 6% below invoice and see what happens.

Looks like Max Tow is not the majority for the Sport S hitting the dealerships. The MSRP sticker should read 46,405 for Max Tow. Else anything lower for MSRP contains the Trailer–Tow Package. I see 27 Sport S models around 150 miles from 48042 but only 6 with Max Tow. Just use the Jeep website Dealer Search tool.

Hmmm.. do you think they are max tow only or match to Rubicon?
Considering that the Max Towing Package trucks have a payload rating that is up to 67% greater than the Rubicon, my guess is the coils on the Max Towing trucks are totally unique to those models. That's why I'd love to see the part # on the tags.

Just checked and within a 75 mile radius of my house, there's only one Sport S, and it does not have Max Towing Package. Everything else is Overland or Rubicon from $53k to $61k. :(

Sport S on the lot in Port Clinton Ohio.
I really scratch my head at this one. Look at the sticker. The base price listed is $33,545.00 which is shown on the build and price tool as the base price for a base Sport model (See attached). But this one has power windows, mirrors and locks, which is something that you can’t get on a base Sport model. Base price for a Sport S is shown as $36,745.00 on the build and price tool. So what exactly really is this truck? Is it a Sport or is it a Sport S? I got no clue and just wonder. But hey it good to see that some sort of a Sport model shows up on a dealers lot.

Oh and if it really is a Sport S then it’s a $3200.00 good deal, being sold a base Sport price. Someone should buy that one quickly before they fix the price error.

Its Sport S, a Sport S is a base Sport with the 24S option +3200, when you add 3200 to the base Sport that is the base price of a Sport S, the price is correct

I think we are all delirious from looking at the Jeep builder, window stickers and calculating prices.
