Meh...I bought my Gladiator to be used as a Jeep. Used the lockers - front and rear - the second time I ever had it out. The better I get driving, I don't need em as much, but I still use em frequently, and am SUPER glad I have em.

Yeah, the key words - MOST and "that purchase". Thousands of Rubicons o the road will never see that switch touched.
These do amazing well just with the electronic controls as it is.
A rear is all most of those who take trails would ever really "need" anyway.
There's some threads in these very forums asking "are lockers needed" and you'd be amazed (well, not YOU) at what people do and never "need" the front locker.

I would say that they didn't want a RAM

They wanted a Wrangler/Gladiator

The Ram loaner was too big and bulky, my wife agreed it was way overkill for us.

I had a ram 2500 for the year between my last gladiator and this one. The only time I liked the ram was when I cleaned my garage and built a fence. Ram had a much bigger bed. It was a bitch to park and made my gladiator seem like a gas sipper. I am so glad to be back.

I didn't need lockers the first 6 years I wheeled around the country, and I haven't needed them in three years driving my Gladiator.

Lockers are one of those things where, if you need them even once, they were worth it. I've only used mine once, but I needed them front and rear or I was stucko (deep snow). I could get along without the sway bar disconnect.

My wife won't drive the full size, but she'll drive the Gladiator.

My wife is the opposite she didn't mind our old Super duty or our Suburban but does not like driving the gladiator ( blind spots and lack of power seats)

Thus, the move to a 2025 JT with power seats. She'll take any opportunity she gets to drive it.

One reason she may trade for a new reign JLU would be to get power seats.
She's unable to operate the standard JL/JT seats.
She doesn't like big bulky vehicles.
I think my Silverado had the same blind spots as the JT, maybe a bit worse. Using all mirrors and the blind spot detection on these, it's no big deal.

The Sport S is a very capable rig, with the front links unbolted and BLDs and the LSD it has taken me through some things I didn't think I'd ever get through, and I think there's a lot more in it. A lift is easy enough to install and most people do that even on the Rubicons.

Yeah, there are situations that call for lockers. I think a lot of people could get through a lot of the things they drive through without them. A good set of tires does a LOT for capability as well.

Aside from that, I carry recovery gear anyways, and yes I've had to pull myself out of a mud filled tub once. I don't know that a Rubicon would have gotten out of it anyways.

And I say this as someone who wanted a Rubicon bad, but couldn't get the boss' approval at the price point.
