Hello,

Been doing a ton of research and I still can’t figure this out. So, I have 6x9’s and 3.5’s being delivered Friday. What I’m wondering is:

Will I be fine plugging the 6x9’s into the 4“ speaker wire or is there an inline crossover somewhere that will block higher frequency’s to the new speakers? I plan on leaving the current roll bar “tweeter“ wire unplugged.

If there is a crossover somewhere in the system, any suggestions on a workaround?

If no workaround. Would adding an amp and using the existing speaker wires be a fix?

I have the standard 7” system and fully intend on keeping the factory head unit.

Thanks!

In the non alpine system in my old gladiator, I don't think there was any crossover. I just plugged the aftermarket speakers in and it sounded fine. Then later I added an amp using the factory wiring.

You should be fine just plugging them in with the adapters...
