Anyone that has attempted this (or any Mini install inside the cab)- I don't have hot head liners, but I do have the factory installed liner....anyone know if they have the same (or similar) foil backing the HotHeads have?
I have the stock factory installed liner. Don't know anything about the foil or not, but it works great. In addition, I just bought one of these to power it more elegantly....

What's your plans to mount it to the ram mounts with this power bank? I'd love to see the finished product
The little triangular insert with the 1/4-20 mounting holes will be replaced by this larger triangular battery piece. It also has 1/4-20 mounting holes on the bottom of it. Should fit in just fine. Might hang down 1/2" lower than what I have now.

I actually watched that video this morning before I even read any of these posts so I was already looking at it lol

So you are planning on using one of the 1/4-20 holes to mount a ram ball to attach the arm?

Yes. Exactly. I will remove the triangular insert mentioned above with the 1/4-20 mounting hole, and replace it with the battery and it's 1/4-20 mount.

My quick solution for a sudden business trip. The curtain bags means I can’t use the great solution from Moabite I plan to throw a dark cloth over it when away from truck. Maybe I’ll step it up and get some dark foam or paint this one black.🙂

Haha!! I tried that. I was not as successful as you, I ended up with a big gash in the Starlink. Decided to take a permanent approach.

Convertible and curtain airbags present a challenge. Don’t want to do a bed mount. That headrest is a nice mount🙂

I've got no airbags, but the folded down headrest and bungie cords were very unstable when trying it. Even in the driveway. On the trail, the Starlink would be on the floor. LOL. Again, in my circumstance. The RAM mounts are super stable and will work for me.

So I know this isn't an interior mount but since I've posted on this thread about my interior mount and failure of it. Just showing this new mount from Savage UTV. It doesn't quite fit perfect. Going to do some modifying but it's surprisingly strong with it not being completely on the lower magnets. Would like some advice on hiding the wires. I put some vhb down in the groove and put wire on top. But didn't trust it. So just gapher taped over it in the mean time. Also the bottom pucks aren't very strong magnets they are more for just allowing the magnetic feet to have metal to lock on to. I'm going to get a die grinder and elongate the holes to move the feet in right now.

I just ordered start link today with the peakdo battery bank along with c size ram mount stuff. I may or may not run a cord for charging up to it.

Just installed a mount in our Gladiator using RAM components, they now have a base that snaps on the Mini dish with no adapters so it’s clean and compact. I used a 9.1” aftermarket arm as it was much cheaper than a RAM one and very heavy duty. For the base ball that mounts on the rollbar, I used the RAM Aluminum Pin-Lock Ball Adapter with 1/4"-20 Female Thread - C Size which has a large diameter aluminum base that fits perfect in the plastic trim cutout. Used a 3.5” 1/4-20 bolt, lock washer and a thick 1 1/4” diameter fender washer on the top as the top hole is a big diameter and the large fender washer covers it all. Here are links to the parts.

The Peakdo battery pack/mount has been doing good here with the RAM mounts. The only issue is when off-roading, back and forth bumping around causes contact with a passengers head if they are in the back seat and adjacent to it. LOL. Luckily, we rarely have passengers, but if we do, I just pull it and put it up as/if needed.

Thanks to this forum, I decided to try a Starlink Mini installation. Seems like pricing is all over the map. I got the Starlink mini for free (since I am also a residential customer), I have to pay for it if I discontinue residential service. I pay $25/month for Roam/On the move service for 50Gb... pay as you go from there. The other Unlimited is much more, like $160+/month.
Anyway, I decided to use a PVC project panel that I cut down to fit the space, cut 1" PVC in half to provide a little support, cut slots to utilize 1" velcro (hook and loop) to hold the panel in place as well as hold the Starlink in position. I used 1 1/2" PVC Project panel (available at Lowe's Home Improvement) to create a cradle (used PVC glue). Cut a notch in the cradle for wires to run. Here are some pictures of the build and finished project. I also took the contraption on a road trip and took screenshots of the speeds while on the move (Hill Country of Texas).
