I was trying to figure out how to make a good in-bed mount for my Starlink Mini. Then I came across some mini load bars at Harbor Freight. It keeps it mounted high to reduce the bedside obstruction and allow me to still toss stuff in the bed without worrying about it. Less than 50 bucks

Great idea. Here is another option. From a You Tube video...I added a sunshade (Alien Sunshade Jeep Gladiator Sun Shade...Amazon $34 bucks). The mini slides in easy with hard tops on. Mini will "see" thru fiberglass no prob...no brackets..no prob on trails...power easy to get from 12V port or a 110V power pack--I use a Bluettu EB3A 600W. Keeps bed free!

I did mine with 80/20. This allows a hard mount below and above the bedline. The extrusion also creates a shelf or dividers for cargo or even other mounts. As to powering, I did a 12-48vdv POE. That way I only run 1 cable. If camping I can relocate the mini and solar away from the tree line if need be. Just 2cents

That’s genius. Thanks!

That was my first setup, but it wasn't ideal because I have the hot head roof panels with the foil heat deflectors, and the Bestop sunshade straps to keep it tight are so cheap they continually loosen, and the sunshade would start drooping.

Good to know this. The Alien sunshade has pretty stout bungees but I do get off road so the jarring might strech things. Ill watch for that. I did not have the headliner...so no foil issue. So far...tight as a drum...literally.
