Steering issues after wheeling trip

Took my Jeep on a mild trail last week, drove home fine. Now my steering will not return to center on its own and seems to stay where I point it. None of the steering components were hit, dynatrac ball joints were put in about 6k miles ago. It’s on a Metalcloak 3.5 inch lift, 37s and has always driven great. Any ideas where I should start?

After a few wheeling trips I smashed my steering stabilizer but didn't notice due to it being covered in a plastic sheath. You could try looking at that if you are still on the stock one as opposed to the metalcloak one.

Steering stabilizer looks good. Now I’m wondering if it’s the steering gear box.

Don't be afraid to look for missing bolts too. It's not virgin territory on a Jeep.

My money is on the shock. Take it off and see what happens. Costs nothing to rule it out.

Took the steering stabilizer off and checked the torque on the entire front end. Still no change. Thanks though.
