I noticed a popping in my steering wheel while doing both left/right turns at low speed in a parking lot. When I got home I had my wife move the steering wheel right and left and saw what looked like the lower axle connecting point seemed to move excessively. Verified bolt/nut are tight on both ends. Did eventually disconnect the lower track bar end and issue went away. Mounting holes don't looked like they are elongated or bent. Drives perfect otherwise with no death wobble symptoms or vibrations at any speed.
Not seeing anywhere on the forum where this is a reoccurring issue. 2022 Sport (Max Tow) model with 10k miles. Besides 33's, a Teraflex levelling kit and Falcon bump stops is all stock. Could this just be a isolated track bar failing? Would expect this to be covered by warranty but looking for advice inputs on a solution and if anyone else had had this problem with their Jeep and barely 10k miles.
Lastly, noticing this only in the parking lot barely rolling, are there any concerns driving this around town?

Thanks

-Ron

That's weird. If nothing is damaged or worn it sounds like it was simply loose.

Great pic.... Thanks for help. It was tight when I eventually removed it. Any chance you have a torque spec for the bolt when I reinstall?

For the sake of documentation. I am have this issue as well if turn to the right and then left there is momentary slight hang up or popping. It seems to not happen after turning to the right first.

Problem came back after correct torque check a few months ago. I removed the track bar to inspect. Could the axle mount hole be causing excessive play? The mounting bolt isn't very snug when inserted. The mount bolt fits snugly when inserted through the track bar itself. Thoughts?

Thanks -Ron

I experienced a similar thing in my JL, (popping sound when turning at low speed). Removed the cotter pin on lower ball joint Castle nut and just tightened to the next slot to get the cotter pin in. No more pop.....but might have just kicked the can down the road a bit, we'll see.

The track bar and the frame/axle side is one of those things where they are actually drilled out to a inch standard and not MM but Jeep puts in a 14MM bolt. Going to a Grade 10 9/16" bolt will take up some of that excess space.
