Long story, but I placed the order on 6/8. Dealer held onto (without me knowing) the order to see if the bumper could be added. They finally officially placed the order 3 weeks later, and here I sit... Kinda par the course surrounding this whole Gladiator thing, I guess.

SG orders didn’t open until 6/14. Do you at least have a VON to know the order is?

Yeah, I have a VIN, and chatted with Jeep Chat this morning, and they said I was almost in D status, but still didn't have a VIN

I think when you go into D status you get a VIN

Correction... I have a VON, not VIN. Dang autocorrect

Anyone else have a 6-spd Sting Gray Rubicon on order? Just wondering if anyone has had any movement other than "D" status... I'm almost a month in, and still don't have a VIN.

Your order wasn't placed until you have a VON. You may have talked with your dealer and given them a deposit, but your order wasn't placed on 6/8. Order banks didn't open until 6/13. Like you said, it wasn't officially placed until 3 weeks later. So you aren't really a month in, only a week in. Doesn't help the wait, but also hard to complain that you've been waiting a month when it's been a week.

I hear what you're saying. I guess I'm a little frustrated at the dealership for not submitting my order on day one.

Yea you give the dealer a early deposit so he can get your order in 1st thing and he misses the mark by 2 weeks. I would be upset too. I have learned with many things if life you need to stay on top of them otherwise they get ignored. Goodluck.

Especially low volume dealers. They likely don't know Sting-Gray is open until someone asks them to look at it again.

Yup.. I placed my order 6/15. I'm in D1.. took about 10 days to move from D. Since they just placed your order, it might take a few days to get your VIN, then should go into D pretty quick.

My dealer said it takes 24 hours to receive your VON from the time he places the order. I placed mine this past Thursday (Sting Grey Sport S Auto) received my VON this morning. Does anyone know how long it takes to go from von to vin?

Depends on your order. Some of us who ordered Granite LEs on 4/3 are STILL waiting for a VIN 3 months later. I think any other option than that, you may get your VIN sooner.

I contacted Jeepchat with My Von after ordering my Stingray Rubicon (6/19) and had a VIN in about three days (6/22)... now supposedly all parts are in and I am in D1. Give Jeep chat a try

VIN can be got by supplying the VON to the contact us tab on jeep.com. Most people use the chat vs the phone. My experiences are that they are more knowledgeable on the chat vs phone. They couldn't even find my order.

Once you have a VIN you can chat them at any time to see the status. The thing is once it hits shipping jeep chat is no longer your resource. Then you have to go to your dealer to get updates. Some dealerships get them others do not.
