New to Jeeps and new to getting new wheels and tires. I don't plan on replacing my tires on my Sport S until I wear them out. I would still like to get new wheels though.
- How do I know what will fit?
-Will the wheels I get for my stock tires fit 33s later down the road? For example on DiscountTire, why does it say Method Wheels fit my vehicle but Fifteen52 Turbomacs wont when it looks like they are the same measurements?

First of all, which Gladiator did you get? Sport/Sport S, Overland or Rubicon? Overlands have 18" wheels and the others are 17".

First things first when learning about tires & wheels...

1.) Tire height has nothing to do with wheels... Tire WIDTH affects what wheels you can run. Based on how wide the wheels are, will determine how wide of a tread width tire you can run. So when asking about what fits what, it's best to mention both tire height and width and wheel size.

2.) What type of wheels are you looking for?

I have a Sport S and I plan on keeping the stock tires on it (245/75R17). I'm currently looking at these wheels:

Out of the two, I like the Fifteen52 Traverse HD better. Personally I'd rather have the $160 Quadratec Hardrock wheels or their Retro CJ wheels which are the right size and offset for your stock tires and if you decide to get bigger tires in the future

Good luck on Method Wheels. The 701 was my first choice in wheel, but they were so behind in production my guy couldn’t even get an expected delivery date.

Like others have said, make sure the aftermarket wheel isn’t too wide for your factory tires. 6.5-8 inch wide wheels are the recommended specs for the 245/75/17 tires.

OP, I honestly don't think you're going to like the end result of aftermarket 17" wheels on the skinny stock tires.

IMO, if cost is an issue, I would look at Rubicon or Overland take-offs as they will look better and you can unload your stock 17" wheels and tires to help with the cost.

Or flip the logic and keep the stock wheels and buy larger tires.

Thank you for your interest in wheels. Both of the wheels as you mentioned are the same specs and they will both fit a 245/75R-17 tire although they are outer edge of fitment as this tire size fits a wheel from 6.0 to 8.5 inches wide. PM coming your way.
