I'd be wary of plugging anything like that in and leaving it. Seems like a cheaply engineered wizbang that is just going to cause issues down the road.
I’ve had one of Amazons units in for 2-1/2 years with no issues. Truck may explode tomorrow but no problems so far.

I'd be concerned about something being in there during a flash of some sort or diagnostics.
I saw a very nicely done timer circuit that does plug into the back of the disable button and can't possibly interfere with anything.
That or go with the unit the forum sponsor here sells - may be more pricey, but you get what you pay for sometimes as opposed to a Chinese Amazon seller.

You would think that Jeep would have made it easier to turn off the feature. Maybe a button on the dash or something.
That would be too much like exercise and as a fat American, I am not down with that.
