I have the auto start stop eliminator and it works great. The only thing I would recommend is purchasing an extension harness to install at the same time. Then you won't have to stick your hands up in that hard to reach area again.

Hello everyone! Not sure if this has been discussed or not, but wanted to talk about the Stop/Start button. I have a 2024 Willys. I had an AEV Procal installed for when I change gears, larger tires, etc., so I am not using a Tazer. Can anyone recommend a Smart Stop/Start plug in that I can use? This is what I found on another forum, but I want opinions (there are always lots of them) and ideas from people that have already used one. Thank you for your assistance!

I also recommend adding the extension harness. Several threads reference the Zautomotive harness. I installed the auto stop eliminator on a 25 Mojave. Works as advertised plugged into the extension harness. Removing the plugs from the security gateway was challenging. Afterwards, I wished I had purchased a long back Haus towel clamp(about $10), which I think would make the perfect tool for removing those plugs. Instead I struggled with one finger and a flathead screwdriver. Maybe the Willys has more space to reach in.

if you dont like start stop and dont feel like buying a tazer etc... just use the climate controls and keep the fan speed above medium. It will cancel start stop because "cabin is heating or cooling"
Exactly. I stumbled on this last year when I forgot to disable the ESS. I had the HVAC set to 60 and had been driving for about an hour in over 80 degree weather. The ESS never activated so I scrolled to the ESS screen and it stil said "heating or cooling". So I shut the HVAC down and next stop light I got to ESS kicked in.

The procal isn't required to be left in once you're done programming whatever gear/tire change you put in. It actually changes the programming vs a taser which bypasses it (actively) and then has to remain plugged in to continue doing so.
You don't have to keep the tazer installed for tire size changes. It only has to stay there for live features.

WTF? First I've heard of that trick!
yuuuuuup. open start stop screen with vehicle running and climate off. it will say start stop ready. turn on heat or ac and crank the fan one click at a time about half way it shows "start stop not ready cabin heating or cooling"

i BELIEVE (limited testing to be honest) the temp limit is 74 or 75 with heat on and the same with ac on. Below that it will prevent it on any fan setting. again fan above medium as far as i can tell.
