I have a 21 mojave with 8.4 system, and today when I parked it the radio wouldn't shut off. I found another thread online for an '18, and a user said pulling fuse 11 would shut it off. Tried that, but no dice. I'm going to pull the battery before dark to reset it, but thought I'd ask here if this is a known issue. What do you guys know about this?

Background - and similar to the post I found elsewhere - I was poking around in the menu at a traffic light and hit the assist app. I saw the vehicle maintenance button, and thought "oh cool, they gave you a manual to flip through on screen..." not knowing it would attempt to make a call, I hit the button. The system disconnected from my phone, and tried to make a call. I canceled it, and it seemed to get stuck - wouldn't stop trying to place a call... after a minute, all went back to normal and I forgot about it.

A half hour later in my driveway, the radio wouldn't turn off, nor would the main instrument screen telling me to apply the break to start. I waited half an hour and it didn't shut itself off. The power on/off hardware button on the radio has no impact on anything.

I've seen other comments where a bad fuse box would cause this... hoping that's not the case and it's just buggy UConnect SW.

I had this happen once on my '18 JLUR with the same radio. I shut the Jeep off, radio still on. I got out and locked it with the remote. Radio still on. Got back in, turned the car on/off again, and it finally went off. Never did it again. I had consistent problems with that head unit randomly freezing, where I couldn't change anything on the screen, then the radio would reboot itself. I finally got the dealer to replace it under warranty. I traded the JLUR in on my '20 JTR the same week they replaced it, so I don't know if it made a difference or not. What's ironic is I have the EXACT same problem with the head unit in my JTR. 2 years newer vehicle and they still can't get this figured out.

well... pulled all 20 battery cables and waited for a bit, then put it back together and there we go, problem solved... BUT WAIT, there's MORE!

after getting back in and making sure all was good, I noticed that siriusXM is missing, and so is my Off Road Pages app.

So Gladiator Forums - what happened? How does that happen? Am I going to have to go to the dealer?

Hoping it'll just fix itself after a little run time, but I can't fathom how it'll do that...

After a Reboot, the Uconnect system can take up to 24 hours to return to normal operation.

I had the radio issue yesterday. Disconnected the battery, did not help. Pulled the 20A Fuse and all is good. Strange though. Only issue with the JT thus far over 8 months of ownership.

You have to disconnect both batteries to get a system reset. Pulling the fuse is good for a radio reboot.

Thanks. I did not know there were two batteries. I took it in and they did an update so far so good. Thanks,

Happened to me today. Radio would not shut off. Pulled radio fuse f97 20a 21 gladiator Willys. That seemed to work. So we will see how and of it happens again.

I’ve been following this thread for a few weeks because I had the same issue. Radio wouldn’t turn off when I opened the door, dash control screen stayed illuminated, shifter lights stayed on. Eventually, after 4 days of sitting, came out to a completely dead battery. Grabbed a new (non mopar batt) and began troubleshooting again. This time, I went through every fuse in the box and found it! Fuse F05, Security Gateway, 5 amp, was bad! Replaced it and everything is working again as it should! I tried the F97 fuse previously but that didn’t solve my problems. So if you’re still having this issue, my suggestion is to check F05! ??

Begs the question, what caused the F05 fuse to blow to begin with?
