Subwoofer under rear seat??

My JT Rubi is in deliver status and I have been pondering the same question. I even contemplated doing a passthrough to the bed. I might have a better idea if someone who already has taken possession of one could look. Since it has so much leg room in the rear could a bracket be fabricated to raise and bring out the rear seats like 2 or 3 inches each direction. That could gain space and provide space behind the rears seats for the amps.

I’m still waiting for mine to be built, and I got the Alpine setup but I know it won’t be enough. My initial thought is an 8 or 10 shallow JL in a sealed box under both front seats. Or one 10W6 anywhere a .75 sealed box will fit.

Ive been taking measurements all over the car looking for the best location. I decided I would not be able to get anything worthwhile under the front seats due to clearance. The obvious option is under rear seats but I like my storage. I will be doing a partial fiberglass enclosure behind the rear seats.

What about mounting a sub/speaker/amp INTO the under seat rear storage? I’m sure some modifications would need to be done but it might be a good way to save some of the storage and get some extra sound.

I did my own box and installed a 10" low profile subwoofer. Sounds awesome!
