I've had my GFC for about 2 years and love it. Taken it everywhere and has done well in all elements. And haven't had any issues with leaks or anything. Just finished building out my storage in the bed. So now I can start finishing up my solar setup and everything else to get it to where I want my GFC to be.

Small and fold-down or pop-up if you like to travel each day. Larger if you like to stay in one place for a while.

Ours is a fold-down trailer with two beds/tables and a small kitchen. We can get 17MPG towing but have to share a small space, and use a porta-potty. On the other hand, we can fit into small camp sites, and I'd rather walk the porta to the restroom once per day instead of do the dump station every few days.

Any trailer is a pain if you have to do a U-turn at a dead end somewhere in the forest. Or tight switchbacks. Or small gas stations. The off-road package with raised suspension has proven to be valuable for both a forest U-turn backing into the woods between some trees, and also twice for going over a curb. An off-road package also usually comes with larger LT tires, which are speed rated the same as the truck. I've hit 80 but usually cruise around 70MPH. Some ST trailer tires are only rated for 65.

If you like to adventure down random left/right turns down random forest roads, you probably would be better off with a ground or roof tent or a bed camper.

I pull an rpod 172 with no problems. Installed air lift bags and ditched the weight distribution hitch. Use a regular hitch with a sway bar.

Had both a A-Liner expedition that was a hard side pop up and it towed like a dream with it's lack of wind resistance and 3k pound weight. Now tow a NoBo 19.8, its much nicer inside and with a WDH tows pretty well too. Definitely feel it behind the truck above 65 though and on hills but it's very manageable and not white knuckle on the least.

There are lots of couples trailers to choose from now. Check out the lineups from Nobo, GeoPro, E-Pro, RPod. They all make comfortable trailers that come in below 4,000lbs, which you’ll want with the springy Mojave suspension.

Love my 2021 27' Vantage Sonic SN220VRB. It's ~5,100 lbs with all we want or need. My Overland handles it very nicely.

My wife really likes it too. She's is originally from Ukraine where they don't do this kinda stuff so she was skeptical at first but, came to really enjoy it.

Pics of my set up...
