Can't help with build date since mine was in January, but I would enter the VIN on a parts catalog and see what comes up for the vehicle, and then compare parts numbers.

It's not unheard of for issues coming off the assembly lines. There have been members here with mismatched fenders for example.

Edit: You can also punch in the VIN here and get the actual build sheet - it will have the shocks listed for the build of the vehicle.

https://fcacommunity.force.com/RAM/s/equipment-listing

It should say " FOX Performance Front Shocks" & "FOX Performance Rear Shocks"
Cool - thank you for the link

Ran a few random 2023 vins through the link previously provided. None have the Fox Performance Shocks. Ran a few 2022's through the website and all have it. A bummer

2022: 1C6JJTBG9NL177446 , 1C6JJTBG5NL175340 (FOX)
2023: 1C6JJTBG1PL505543 , 1C6JJTBG0PL505548 (Red Tenneco Shocks)

My 23 Rubicon does not have the Fox branded shocks on it
Thanks for confirming! Is it possible to check the Part Number on it? It would be great to cross reference them against 1) The willys shocks and 2) the JL Rubicon shocks

I was under the belief that the JTR received fox branded suspension, whereas the JLR receives typical Mopar Red shocks.
Fox shocks, not fox branded suspension. The suspension is MOPAR and the same suspension parts as other Gladiators (save for the different spring numbers, but still MOPAR, not fox. The shocks were what was different.

Not sure where the "Fox branded suspension" comes from - shocks only.

Tell ya what, guys and gals with Rubicon - the Fox shocks are nothing to brag about at all. Appearance only. I thought they were crap when I put them on my Overland (which had max tow springs - STIFF springs).
Bouncy, in fact, so ordinary I didn't bother putting the Fox Rubicon take-off shocks I have on my 2022 after I pulled them from my 2020 to trade it in.
I thought they were a waste of money - they looked cool but that was it.
If you must have the fancy lettering and color, then I see your missing the fox shocks, but if you are thinking you are missing performance - meh.........

Right, but unfortunately that is no longer the case for rubicon’s.

Not sure how unfortunate it really is unless you want the shocks for the looks. There honestly isn't anything that special about the Fox shocks that were on the 20-22 models.

I would disagree, if that’s the case, why change for an obviously cheaper version. Quick google shows tenneco (rancho) shocks are 60ish, a much cheaper option than the 2.0s
