I wonder if is due to Fox contract $$? Rubicon's no longer have Fox shocks, and the Mopar lift had a huge price increase that includes Fox shocks. The price went from $1295, $1695, now $2095 for the lift

Could be multitude of things other than just cost. Capacity to manufacture and supplier material constraints could have made the decision to which model they support?

I doubt the Mojave model Fox shocks will go away. If they did, I see another like quality brand remote reservoir replacement and not Jeep just sticking another ho-hum steel body monotube shock in and calling it a day.

I'm not necessarily upset at the loss of performance, more at the sweeping under the rug of any literature that states this to be the case. Not that the Foxs is a make-or-break deal, but it was a piece of mind that it at least came with something "upgraded" from my 09 Rubicon shocks (red Tenneco shocks).

I wonder if the red Tenneco's that will be on my diesel rubicon are valved for the diesel weight or are they just rando shocks..
I have a 2021 Diesel Willy’s, has the red shocks. I’ve bottomed out once appropriately on a huge pothole, otherwise they’re decent shocks and the half a dozen times I’ve off roaded they held up as well.

Are you able to check the website below and see what your build sheet states you have? I wonder if they're the "extra HD" shocks:

You build sheet won't populate until you're in the Production phase.

Honestly, you'll probably end up upgrading shocks with a lift......so is it really a big deal? I'm being bias and objective.

I went with a JTM because I wanted the bypass shocks as my starting point. Hope that makes sense

Thanks for checking, now time to find someone who has received their 23 Mojave and see what the shocks are.

I just checked the build sheet on my 2021 Willys and it says the same thing. I bet the 2023 Rubicon and Willys are using the exact same shocks now.

Drive a Mojave.
Mojave isn't for me, but I can't knock it in any way. It was made with purpose in mind. The suspension was designed for, aimed at, certain uses, so it's not going to be the perfect fit for all things, but superior for what it was made for. Hard to beat (if not impossible to beat as a truck for that purpose).

I'm in production since Oct 8 for a Mojave. Build sheet says front rear HD shocks. No mention of FOx. ugg. It also says Leather wrapped steering wheel when some others mention competition steering wheel. We will see what the sticker says.

God Speed. Wish we could find someone with a 23 Mojave delivered that can check. I think someone is going today to check a HVY Mojave near them, I'll see if I can find the thread and ask them to check.

Edit: Minty JL mentioned looking at one today possibly.. want to check the shocks while you're at the dealership?

Not that its the end all be all of info, but the Jeep website doesn't mention the Fox shocks on the Rubicon but it does for the Mojave-- still. Aren't the Mojave shocks different from off the shelf Fox remote reservoir gear?

That being said, I think we might be seeing an issue with a supplier exclusive contract coming to an end. Ford is heavily invested in the Fox suspension systems for the F150 Raptor, Ranger Tremor, Bronco Raptor, and the upcoming Ranger Raptor.

Perhaps Fox and Stellantis are parting ways? The Ram TRX comes with a Bilstein system FWIW.

Aesthetically, on the outside, the replacement shocks look identical to the ones that came from the factory. What do you know if anything about any modifications or alterations that were made in the TSP shocks?
With the different part number, I can only speculate that the shocks resist the down-stroke more (perhaps less resistance to the upstroke??), different valving.
Looks have little meaning (actually no meaning - they can be very different inside)

It was suggested by a knowledgeable person I should try to find a pair of the TSB front shocks to go with the springs I put under the front of my own JT. He said the valving would more closely match the springs I was using. I looked at the pricing and though - naw, I can live with my lowly little plain-jane black shocks for a while for that price.
