I would disagree, if that’s the case, why change for an obviously cheaper version
Supply may be the issue, but your post isn't exactly following what I mean - the Fox shocks that came STOCK on the Rubicon aren't anything special or fancy - and that alone would be one reason to switch to another brand. The fox shocks weren't that great - so why not replace them with something cheaper and likely just as good.
You are suggesting the Fox shocks supplied on the rubicon were high performance, something special?
The special ones are the Fox shocks they put on the diesel versions under the TSB - THOSE are fancy and expensive shocks.

I ran the Rubicon fox shocks on my Overland for 2 years. The rears were bouncy and I'm not the only one that thought so. I'd never ever buy them new. Not worth the money. There are better shocks, likely for a lot less money. Maybe Jeep figured that out.

I thought the Rubicon OEM Fox shocks were decent on a OEM Rubicon suspension for which they were tuned for. Throw them on another model with mixed model spring rates they were not designed for, sure, they probably rode like ass.

I will walk away from my Mojave if it arrives without the Fox remote res shock. It’s a big part of why I ordered the Mojave trim.
Not sure I'd walk away, but I will be compensated for the difference in shocks. To either buy Falcons, King or the new Ole Man Emo remotes shocks

There are others talking of them being bouncy in the rear - on Rubicons. That's what made me think mine wasn't all that 'odd'.
I had max tow springs under mine at that time - stiffer springs for sure than overland springs.
So even though under an Overland, the springs were much stiffer than stock Overland springs.

I wonder if the red Tenneco's that will be on my diesel rubicon are valved for the diesel weight or are they just rando shocks..
I don't know how those compare to what was used in the 2021 TSB, or how the 2022s were equipped.
Here is what the resolution was for the 2021s - these aren't cheap (money-wise, that is)

Teach a man to fish..............and the wife will never see him again.
I dunno - it was my mother who liked fishing. She went all the time with her father, and then when I was young, they took me along. Mom wasn't afraid to bait the hook.
We went fishing while Dad was at work.

i posted this on another thread..

my 2023 Diesel Rubicon build sheet says

Red Tenneco Front Shocks
Red Tenneco Rear Shocks
I bet they were kind enough to discount the Rubicon package weren’t they?

Aesthetically, on the outside, the replacement shocks look identical to the ones that came from the factory. What do you know if anything about any modifications or alterations that were made in the TSP shocks?

Tell ya what, guys and gals with Rubicon - the Fox shocks are nothing to brag about at all. Appearance only. I thought they were crap when I put them on my Overland. Bouncy, in fact, so ordinary I didn't bother putting the Fox Rubicon take-off shocks I have on my 2022 after I pulled them from my 2020 to trade it in.
I thought they were a waste of money - they looked cool but that was it.
If you must have the fancy lettering and color, then I see your missing the fox shocks, but if you are thinking you are missing performance - meh.........
Drive a Mojave.

Btw I drink beer at Burning Beard...a brewery literally 100 feet from the Fox factory in El Cajon CA....everything seems fine there....this was likely a Rubicon cost reduction.
