What did you do in the CG? You have a few more skills than a typical drug runner.

most my 20 years was spend in secure containers and Incident command centers, so I always had internet. However I have been wrenching since I could peddle a bicycle hanging about family and fiends shops.
Young adult I slang car parts
I've done 12v stuff as a side hustle and some hobby fab.
I did work part time in an off road shop for about 3 years at the tail end of my gig in the USCG I tried full time for a year but my body would not let me

How do you like your Torq Locker so far? Does it want to engage anytime the front wheels slip?

So I finally fixed the week sounding jeep horn, I bought the horn a year ago never got to installing it it is a: Bad Boy Model 419 12-Volt 123.5 Decibels 530 / 680 Hz
and I have one in my suburban and Mini Countryman its virtual a compact train horn. I it bought at Harbor Freight with coupon

So what had been holding up this mod is I didn't want to cut up the jeeps harness and it seemed no one sold a JT /LJ horn harness

After some research I finally figured out jeep and ford share the same horn plugs, armed with that I was able to search for connectors, while scouring the Jungle site I found that Farbin sold pig tail adapters, I could just unhook a horn and it plug in

FARBIN Car Horn Special Plug Compatible with Ford Adapter Converter Wiring Harness Pigtail Socket Car Horn Connector Harnesses Cable 3Pcs

That would have been fine, I could have snipped the ends made an extension and had my loud horn ......
However, when i added to cart i noticed Farbin had other options on the same page. I found it! a y splice for the horns now jeep horn and the loud "train horn"

FARBIN 1 to 2 Horn Adapter Connector for Ford, Y Type Horn Connector Converter Wiring Harness, Plug and Play

So Today was the day first I had to find what wire was the positive and negative ...easy
- pulled out the grill plastic rivets and laid back the grill, winch is on so taking it off would be dumb also I could have left the grill unhooked with a pick and long screwdriver but then could not get pics of the connections for that forum write up
-unhooked both (don't want to piss off the neighbors) and plugged the adapter in
-used a test light to figure out positive and used a paint marker to mark it

now for the harness

Both horns connected and all the wires hidden away

the only question was where to put the Bad Boy well that fell right into place and fit so well all I had to do was a quick zip tie an put the plastic rivets and grill was back in .... Now off to the mall to scare Old lades and soccer Moms!!!

Over the weekend I noticed the front felt loose and increased roll on the highway and on my dirt road I was hearing a clunk I didn't notice anything Until Monday I noticed the front link sway bar link became auto disconnects because the nut fell off and the threads were begging for one's. oh well I had Metal Cloak front sway bar disconnect links sitting in the bag on my tool box

Its not bad, I would prefer a E-locker (in time) However, for the money and relative ease of install, it's a great bang for the buck upgrade. Like all Lunch box lockers they are always engaged, except when turning then you hear a Clickity clack. Even with the fad disconnected in 2wd, the left axle clicks in sharp turns.

So on Monday the JT hit 66,666!!!! and It must have been an omen
Because I got the first death wobble on this rig
I was having flash backs to Super duty radius arms, Sprung over samurai swaps and Z link steering angles ... I got out of the throttle let it slow down and then romped a power out and back to straight... straight home and park it....
Full disclosure I knew it was coming, my tie rods were flopping around, my front shocks were leaking, and when I hit anything worse than a wash board the truck had auto lane shift.
Lucky for me I had New parts on the top of the tool box (been waiting since march) ready for me to install had my birthday off and weather was nice it was time to upgrade some steering ( I always pick out the perfect gift for myself!)

Put the JT up on stands Measured my tow in / out then took the wheels off.
Did shake and brake check. Well bakes and ball joints looked good, so I have that going for me.

My drag link joints were showing some wear, However since it was already the Tera flex HD Drag link only had to adjust it. I backed out the set screws and set joint preload with the special Teraflex tool provided and grease

Took the factory tie rods out and they were worse then I thought... opps
Now before I tossed it in the scrap metal pile, I measured the old tie rod assembly
Now to set up the new Teraflex HD Chromoly Tie rod kit mmmm Beefy!!!!!
made sure I anti seized the threaded ends care (don't want to become the tin man) set it the same length as the OEM

My OE stabilizer was all banged up so since I was there I planed the up grade: Fox Performance series 2.0 IFP Steering stabilizer
along with 4 new Fox Performance series 2.0 Shocks at the 4 corners

Finished off with a nice tire rotation.... got me thinking 37's would sweet.. But not yet.. I set the toe, locked it all down Now it time to test drive!

Took out for a ride wow nice and smooth!
