Last Wendnesday morning leaving work I open my Driver's door to 1.5-2 inches of standing water. Just the drivers floorboard no where else, never had any issue before and I've changed nothing in over a year.
Now I'm in South Central Florida and Rainy season just started with a bang! Say 25" of rain in a 2 day period, flood warnings across the board, etc. So I need to find this Leak fast because I've got 3 more months of this nonsense weather.
Finally got a day with out rain to take the top down and dig into it. Started simple looking at weepholes and doorbells, roof seals, firewall penatration ( I used the clutch master cylinder blank/cap to get into the cab. Spent an hour soaking it down with the hose, pulled some pine needles out from the cowl, reseated the firewall cap will get some flex tape to make a collar for it on the way to work tonight ), cleaned off all the weather stripping, and found nothing what so ever...Coulded lay the windshield down because I have the RR AmFib snorkel, which may be a little over attached with RDFto actually seal it.
I stood infront of my truck and drinking coffee making faces at it and I noticed my top doesn't sit evenly. The Drivers side sits higher and a bit over 1/4 further forward than the passanger on the windshield. So I dropped the top and stood on my seats, next time I'll remember the muddy shoes, maybe, and I see it's not seated in the mountings properly. I don't know how it happened.
There are 2 T50 bolts on either side that hold it in place, none of which more than finger tight, which is mildly concerning. Loosed them all up and shifted them back into the hook/seat where they should be and tightened it down.
Little light on pictures, but hopefully this was the issue, will update either way.
