Okay, so I have an appointment Monday to have this kit installed (link below). FedEx delivered Friday, the carboard box was busted open, and it does not contain the bump stops, or the front/rear sway bar end links. I was considering using the stock bump stops anyway, but can I use the stock (Diesel Sport S) sway bar end links, or is that inadvisable/impossible? So annoyed. Thanks.

What is your planned use? All Hwy? Light Trails? IMO -- I'd wait the Bump stops would be an issue to install later (I have heard of using hockey pucks center drilled & used in lieu of bump stops) .. the sway bars are easily installed at a later date. Does the shop doing the install sell lifts and parts? FedEX should pay for those parts if you buy.

Only Highway until missing parts could be installed.
Why wouldn’t the stock bump stops be sufficient indefinitely?

Most front bumps can't be installed except with the springs off. I actually went hockey pucks upfront though so that I could adjust with springs on easily. As long as you are highway only though you should be fine to install just realize you may be forced to go hockey pucks or reinstall the front springs.

But why do you guys think that the existing bump stops are inferior to those from the kit or to hockey pucks?

The shocks in the lift kit are longer in travel length.. Bump stops are increased to prevent the shock from bottoming out and damaging the shock.

Definitely wait for the correct bump stops, stock sway bar links would be okay for highway use. Are you doing anything to correct caster with that lift? Could be an issues.

So you don't have to pay for 1/2 an install the second time, wait until you get all the parts.

The stock bump stops aren't insufficient, they are too short. As was said, if you bottom out without the right bump stops, you could wreak havoc on your new shocks.

The entire lift kit works together, without one part, the kit is not complete and could ruin parts of the kit.

I am getting ready to install the Mopar lift on my diesel Gladiator Rubicon. Let me know if you need any measurements on sway bar end links or bump stops and I will get them for you.

On their 4.5" diesel lift, they include fixed control arms to correct caster and pinion. You would think that if this kit required it, they would include those components as well, right?

No necessarily, if it provides 2.5" of front lift it will lower the caster significantly, I would add geometry correction brackets from either Rancho or AEV.
