2023 JTRD purchased in Feb 2024 out of state. Took delivery and found the same issue, asked the local dealership because my prior two jeeps had the sway bar fully coated. Walked out to their lot with a service manager that was equally confused and found everything they had that was a 23 and rubicon model (8 vehicles or so) had the same rusted uncoated sway bar ends. They also had two 22 rubicons that were fully coated. Just seems odd, that area is already going to rust but why leave it uncoated.

I was going to prep and paint it, but maybe not if I can get it covered under warranty.

So this fits my thinking that something was changed along in a model year - supplier of the bars, or methods used to coat them, or specs perhaps.
That's fitting along with the fact that 2022 and prior model year owners report no such rust.

Your first post in this thread comes across a bit harsh to the OP saying just accept it. If it’s a known problem, do you think Jeep should fix it?

If it's as simple as surface rust - it's hardly worth me taking it in, leaving it, going to pick it up again. I can resolve it myself in minutes.

If it's a known problem, it's rather interesting that there aren't widespread reports or complaints since it is apparently something with 2023 and 2024 models according to one or two posts in this thread.
Does this mean it's not a big deal to most?
Or that no one has noticed?
Or it's not a widespread thing?

The circumstances of others may vary - Id' take care of it in minutes with stuff already in my shop.

It's just not worth dealing with a dealer on it in my eyes.
