Just installed the a1 electric power door lock kit 4dr. Has anyone tried to wire the keyless entry system to courtesy lighting or the horn? If so how and what do I need to wire for these features to work

If you have keyless (passive) entry, the courtesy (floor/dome) light will come on when activated. That is software driven on the can bus from the RFH to the BCM and is not a wired discreet.

No clue what you are wanting to do with the horn and keyless entry.

I have the a1 electric kit. It uses a avital unit to lock and unlock doors. It has wires for some light, parking lights and horn. It is not tied until anything with the heels canbus system. I'm guessing there is no way of doing it. Haven't found a single thread in how to do it

You can have it activates any parking lights you wants, but you must add a 2 pole relay in series to prevent back feeding the BCM. It's best in series since we don't know the bcm internal circuitry. This involves cutting the factory lamp wires or make a t-harness. You can wire it using a standard automotive relay as below:

-All +12v wires from the lights goes to pin 30
-All wires from the bcm to pin 87A
- 12v Lights activating wires from the A1 unit to pin 87 & 86
- Connect 85 to ground

Factory lights will operates as usual until you power lock your doors, that's when the relay will switch over to the A1 unit.

Edit: if your truck has a factory relay for parking lights than tap it there is easier and cleaner.
