Before I start drilling holes and figuring it out the hard way, I thought I'd ask here first...

I'm planning to run electrical wiring from the engine bay to the truck bed. Ideally, I'd like to bring the wiring into the bed on the front passenger side (right side in the U.S.).

I know there's an access point near the tailgate for the factory inverter, but has anyone found a good alternative entry point for wiring—especially up front?

For context, I power everything with an EcoFlow Delta 2 Max, which I charge while driving using the EcoFlow 800W alternator charger.

Without drilling into the bed, going through the ac outlet plate would be your best bet. I charge my Delta 2 via the oem 120vac outlet, but it's a modified wave so it has to goes through a converter and can only charges as solar at 178w max.

That's what I figured. Appreciate your confirmation. I need to stretch wires and see if EcoFlow gave me enough wire to run that length now. lol

My JTRD didn't come with the inverter and I've grown to really appreciate the fast charging anyway. With how often I drive, it's rare that my battery ever gets below 60% and it's back to 100% after just an hour of driving or less. It really creates the feeling of "unlimited power". lol

I ran my wiring from the battery under the cab along the top of the passenger side frame then up between the bed and cab and into the bed through the existing oval hole with the plastic cover on the lower right side of the front of the bed.

I did the same path as EZRider. Used rubber grommets in the holes I drilled in the oval plastic plug.

Ah that's a perfect location. Is it as "fun" as it looks to fish wires between the cab and bed? lol

I'll need to partially pull the decked drawers to access that hole.

It wasn’t hard. There is a factory wiring harness that runs on top of the frame and I zip tied my wiring to it until I got behind the cab. I used a piece of grass trimmer line to fish the wire from the frame into the bed.

I ran my wiring from the engine bay down the right side between the body and rear side of the fender liner. Then through a piece of grey plastic conduit that tucks nicely above the mounting points for the rock rails or side steps (I have had both). At the rear, I ran the wires over the wheel well liner to the hole in the lower right corner of the bed. I used flexible wire wrap everywhere I suspected wear or exposure to dirt or flying rocks. 4 years, no issues. On my first Gladiator, I ran the wires through the right-side frame rail. My other way was easier. I have been trying to figure out how to get a wire cleanly to the front of the bed. Thanks for the tip.

I ran mine thru the drivers side frame rail. Passengers side should work too. I see another poster did that side.

On the drivers side of the bed there is a small < 1" hole (near the tailgate) that I put a grommet in and pushed wires thru that.
