Good afternoon all. Just was thinking about getting a Tazer Mini for my Gladiator Rubicon Diesel so I would have it to program the computer for the bigger tires. Is there anything better out here for the Gladiator? Are there bugs/issues with the Tazer? Thanks.

I like the tazer a lot but it is finnicky and if your not comfortable will hooking it up to your pc to fix it and update it often, Then get JSAN w/ security bypass cables instead.

I went with the Tazer specifically to be able to change tire size and disable TPMS as I run a different set of tires/wheels for summer and winter. Has some cool features I didn't plan on (not sure if they're available with JScan), but use them constantly.

Remembering the status of ESS button is invaluable to me
Blanking the license plate lights in reverse
Navigation entry while moving
Horn beep for tirefill
Darkmode (disables all lighting with engine running) Very useful if you're out hunting and arrive too early as I often do. Or, probably good for stalkers/serial killers too

I needed to recalibrate for bigger tires and didn't want to spend $350. I ended up buying the ECRI for $129. The Tazer Mini has more features, but the ECRI has all the ones that matter to me. https://ecri.app/

Iinstalled the Tazer Mini last week after a year of owning my Gladiator, the Jeep had 35s on it but the computer dosnt know the size, the Tazer fixed that and now I know exactly my speed, MPGs, etc, the vehicle seems to be adjusting my transmission shifts a lot better now, especially on the freeway. but the one thing that really makes this Tazer worth every penny to me, is just being able to turn the AutoStart/stop switch on or off and the vehicle remembers it when it shuts off and and then I start it back up. I am able to just forget about that switch

I think the Tazer works great if you follow all the proper steps to install, uninstall, bla bla bla. Unfortunately…their instructions aren’t the best. I ended up writing up my own instructions. Mine is plugged in ALL the time. I use it more for the live features (ASS, Kill3Honk, etc).

If you get one…:
**Make sure you get the extension cable!!!

**Before any dealership visits - make sure you unmarry, uninstall, and remove the tazer (follow the proper process for removal). If the dealership installs any computer updates (and your Tazer is still installed), it can mess things up either on the Tazer or the truck. I’ve never left mine in for dealership visits.

**After a Dealership visit, make sure you follow the RE-install process precisely.

**Emissions testing??
NOTE: If you live in a state with Emissions testing - Rebooting the Tazer erases all the emissions data that’s stored in the truck. For example: If you go to your dealership for yearly emissions testing…. And you remove the tazer (as listed above process)….. The emissions info is erased (ask me how I know??šŸ˜†).
Next year… I’m going to talk to a local shop, explain to them about my Tazer and hopefully…they can perform the emissions & PA State inspections with the Tazer still installed.

I have had it with the Tazer BS. A dealer visit for a trans issue is a real PITA.
