Technically, yes. But that’s confusing for consumers so I hate when people say that. Ford is really bad at advertising just about anything. Saying they all have HOSS is kind of like saying every Jeep has an off road tuned suspension. We all know the Mojave and Badlands have different setups just like the wildtrak/badlands/raptors do. Sorry, mini rant lol. Their advertising creates more questions than answers.
Rebuttal: a base bronco is only held back off-road by it's tiny 30" street tires and no lockers (without sasquatch). The differences between HOSS 1.0 and HOSS 2.0 are pretty minimal. The 2.0 gets a .67 or 1.1 inch lift (badlands is the lower number, sasquatch is the higher) and position sensitive dampers, nothing else.

I don't think calling every wrangler and gladiator (except mojave) trail rated is any more or any less misleading than calling every bronco suspension system HOSS

This price has gone up. My 2dr manual sasquatch with steel bumper and switches and nothing else was up to 40,700 right before they cut off orders. If I don't get it in 2022 (i wont) my price is not protected into 2023.

All Broncos have a HOSS suspension system. base, big bend, black diamond, and OBX w/o sasquatch have HOSS 1.0. Badlands, Wildtrak, First Edition, Everglades Edition and all Sasquatch packages have HOSS 2.0. Wildtraks can option in HOSS 3.0, and Raptors have HOSS 4.0
Actually the pricing makes sense. The bumper and switches make up most of the difference between my number and yours.

Re HOSS. You are incorrect. You don't have the latest news. Sasquatches have always had HOSS shocks. There is now a separate option group called the HOSS 3.0 System Package.

It includes ironically Fox shocks. But the most interesting thing is the heavy duty tie rod ends. The standard tie rod ends have proven to be a weak link for Broncos that are "ridden hard" off road, with many reports of broken ones.

If you're going to call someone incorrect you might want to cite you sources. Just for the record why do you think it's called HOSS 3.0 and not 2.0 if only sasquatchs are HOSS systems?
It's completely and 100% documented by Ford with no room for interpretation.

You might know the difference but the average person doesn’t. It’s much easier to be confused by 4 suspensions all named the same thing than a handful of models saying they’re, “trail rated.” At the end of the day they’re both buzz words. I get what you’re saying though, I’m talking purely from a consumer buying process. Calling them all the same thing is confusing for someone looking to order. The Rubicon and 392 are pretty clearly labeled as having, “fox gas shocks” and a “performance suspension system.”

Bumper at 825 and switches at 195 is $1020. off 40700 is 39,680 which is not 38,500

See people get confused easily lol. This chart is much better than what Ford had up until now. Before this back in 2020/2021 they couldn’t even get their order guides correct. It was a mess and what I was alluding too when I said they’re bad at this.

This chart has been around since the B&P first went live (minus the numbering stuff. It used to just state HOSS, HOSS w/ PSD, or HOSS w/ PSD+lift without stating numbers), And it's a LOT more detailed than the comparison tool Jeep offers (or maybe i just haven't found the right one)

I had a 2.7 Outer Banks on order. All things being equal, if it was as easy to get a Bronco as it was to get my Gladiator, I'd be driving one now. But things aren't equal and, after Ford changed the game on allocations and how deliveries were to take place going forward, I found out my Bronco wouldn't hit the lot until 2024 or so.

Could I transfer my order to another dealer? Maybe start all over? I don't know, but it just felt like too much work and stress after a while. Checking in on the 6G forum every day to hear the latest whispered rumors or confirmed stressors (hard tops recalled, trucks sitting outside for months while waiting to get retrofitted, certain packages holding up orders but hey, you can get a bottom rung soft top quickly if you want!) I punched out and just got a JT.

If you're getting one at sticker on a dealer lot then that's a rare find indeed. I like the looks of them and the idea of a more powerful, possibly tunable engine was appealing. I'm not a hard core wheeler so the whole IFS vs solid axle thing didn't matter to me. If they don't give you a decent offer on trade-in, check out driveway.com. They gave me a very solid quote that was thousands above what anyone offered.

Most dealers for the Bronco are adding ADM of 10K or more depending on trim level. I had a WildTrak on order and ended up cancelling after reading the forums, seeing all of the quality issues associated with it and the fact that my dealer deleted the tow package I would need since I am giving up my truck. Gladiator on order now, has a bed and can tow more than the Bronco. Better deal with the Jeep in my opinion.
I had a Black Diamond on order as well, and what you quoted above is what made me end up cancelling and going back to the JT. I was originally looking at the JT and caught a little Bronco fever. I placed an order ($500 deposit), with right of refusal, no obligation to purchase and since it was ordered no ADM. But little things on the forums started adding up and made me feel antsy about it,
  • My build getting pushed back 3 times
  • missing paint on visible panels,
  • radiator hoses not secured,
  • wiring harnesses not attached and getting torn up by the drive shafts, and
  • 3-4 valve drops turned into 30
Just got an email a couple of weeks ago that my cancelled Black Diamond with the V6 was at the dealership did I still want to buy it. Already had the JT ordered so told them no.

In the end, I'm glad I came back for the Gladiator.

The package with heated seats doesn't delete the manual because of remote state. Ford does not allow any packages on any manual transmission broncos except for the Badlands trim (rubicon equivalent)

You cannot get mid package on black diamond or big bend with a manual transmission, and it has nothing to do with remote start, just shitty ford packaging decisions.
Same difference, Ford doesn’t allow a manual with the mid package, which I wanted because of the heated seats … on the model I would have ordered.

The 7 year warranty on my Gladiator will be over in 7 years. I'll start looking at Bronco in 6. You can have the new I6 , 400HP in the Gladiator next year. In years past I have had 3 Broncos.

This was the position I was in, but with a base 2dr mansquatch ordered at Chapman. Suddenly late 2023 arrival (i only reserved august of 21 and figured 12-18 months so 24 wouldn't have been so bad) turned into me getting my bronco in 2026, unless I wanted to go to some random asshole dealer who could charge whatever they want when it shows up.

So i reached out to Chapman about the program they were throwing together for "patiently" waiting Bronco and Maverick reservations. $400/mo Gladiator Willys lease with guaranteed buyback whenever the Bronco shows up. (also had 4xe options, but street parking with a plugin isn't for me).

Well, i had already traded in my K900, and was now daily driving what was supposed to be my 2day a week office commuter, a 2012 civic coupe. Had to get out of that. So i order the gladiator willys. it shows up, i sell my civic for about 3x what it was worth 2 years ago (which is why we didn't trade it in when my wife got her SUV). Now i'm sitting here driving this truck I didn't really want as a placeholder, when this magic thing starts happening: I'm falling in love. The more time I spend with the gladiator, the more i start thinking "why am I waiting for a cool car when i'm driving one now"

The only downside? The willys was a perfectly fine ride for what was supposed to be a temporary car, but it had 2 major problems:
1. I don't want an automatic for any serious length of time (was planning on keeping the bronco for 8 years, so trying to buy a car i'm willing to make the same commitment towards)
2. The mojave wont stop making eyes at me

It hurts when i look at the numbers. my originally ordered 39595 bronco was supposed to be 4% under invoice, and now I've ordered a $52,915 gladiator at 3% under invoice, but my wife keeps reminding me "any car you can walk into a dealership and buy without financing is a car you can afford" and to let go of the extra money spent.

Interesting. I came up with my number. Actually about $38,700 with the online configurator.

Base truck, shipping, Sasquatch.

Either way. $1000 one way or the other. Its a deal.
You would spend the cost of the Sasquatch package on just wheels, tires, and gearing. Its like getting free lockers front and rear ha.
