My wife has a ‘17 Mini Cooper JCW and I (obviously) have a JTR. While looking up a history thing about Mini I came across what looks like a offspring from our two cars… 😆

Maybe that flew in U.K. that would never fly here. It’s the 4-wheel version of a moped
Doubt there’s any real affiliation between the old Mini ones and the new ones, but there are lots of electric Mokes in Southern California.

You could put a bag over it and I still wouldn’t find it palatable. That would be the girl you never introduce to your friends.

Huh, I've probably seen them but just wrote it off as an electric golf cart. There certainly aren't many of them in my area, but based on the Moke accessories site @jeepstertim posted, it looks like an affluent area car. Ventura is more of a beach bum community.

for sure more prevalent in the affluent areas - people in the LA-area beach cities drive around luxury street-legal golf carts as a flex, I think the Mokes are more popular as rentals for cruising around but I’m sure some are owned outright and used like the luxury golf carts.

Saw something similar in St. Martin, they were electric though.

I have a friend that retired and lives in "The Villages" in Fl. I bet he would love the Moke. He already has a decked out golf cart.
