I'm guessing the builder was testing the market. based on that sale, he may have retired from that conversion platform. They lost money on that. Original sticker for the 392 Wrangler it was based off of was $79K.
You are right, somebody stole that and got a killer deal.
I would speculate the builder lost $30K-$50K on that build and that is being generous of them discounting their time and labor.I'm guessing the builder was testing the market. based on that sale, he may have retired from that conversion platform.
I’m in Tucson and considered going to that auction. There would have been another bidder if I had gone.Son of a B____!
They stole that thing for $65k

Agreed that you are being generous. They probably paid $90-95k just for the 392. I hope they get a lot of orders out of that. But they’re going to need to get at least $175k out of a sale to make any money.I would speculate the builder lost $30K-$50K on that build and that is being generous of them discounting their time and labor.
Core American Industries definitely does not want to make more for that price. So they built exactly what I was looking for. Jeep with less cab and more bed, plus a v8 (missing a manual, but still). This is such a great custom Jeep and I hope they make more because I'd trade my Gladiator in for one - especially at that price
"Not easy to cut up a new Wrangler, but had to be done to build something that otherwise wouldn't exist."
Also sucks that you'd prob be calling them to make a custom camper/rack for it too. I like it a lot, but I can see the future pain the owner would go thru getting parts/accessories for it. That money he saved will go somewhere else on it if he actually keeps it--which in all honesty would be an idiot to. He could flip that for profit real quick!Sucks because it one of the best 2 door conversions I've seen to date, really like how they filled in the cab corners and opted to stretch the bed to 6 feet in front of the wheel well to make it more proportional.
I’d love an extended cab version of one. Enough room for gear and crap in the back part and 2 seats is all I need. LolIf Jeep ever rolls out with a single cab, I'm definitely getting one.
I am in your exact same shoes. Waited years for Jeep to make a 2 door gladiator. But the 4 door look eventually grew on me. And now, I have grown to appreciate having all that extra space in the cab. As someone who’s owned multiple 2 door JKs, I can now really understand why the 4 door wranglers are so much more popular.I would have bought a two door if it was available but after having four doors I don’t know if I could live without the extra room to carry stuff (and the occasional passengers.)
