It stays too light too late here in the summer. I'd like to stick to EST all year long, like it was when I was growing up here in Indiana.

The full Epstein Client List will get released before DST is ever abolished.

I strongly believe that most who don’t want DST permanent actually want it permanent, but have it backwards.

I can’t imagine summers where it’s not light till 9pm and wanting for it to get dark in the winter at 5pm vs 6pm.

Here I am explaining to Izzy
the change to Standard Time
and that it is not time to eat yet.

My three dogs are spoiled rotten.
I don't make them change their schedule.

My parents have the same problem with their 4 dogs. Treat time is 7, and by 6pm the dogs are following them around to remind them. lol

They have food out all the time so they're not hungry.

Today, I learned that in June of this year
the Texas legislature passed House Bill 1393
which Governor Abbott signed into law
making Daylight Saving Time
permanent in Texas creating "Texas Time."

The bill requires congressional approval which I do not see happening.
Every state should begin and end DST on the same dates.

However, to the best of my knowledge
states may opt out of Daylight Saving Time
without Congressional approval.
Wait, there's more.

States can also change time zones
with the approval of the Secretary of Transportation.

Theoretically Texas could join the Eastern Standard Time Zone
which would be the same net result
as permanent Daylight Saving Time.

This seems unlikely to be approved
because it could create a checkerboard
of state time zones.

We repealed Prohibition.
Maybe we can repeal Daylight Saving Time.

The governor has it right. I wouldn’t want it to go away. I want it permanent.
