Well then a modern JT would be trashed too. You'd need a ww2 willys with little to no electronics on it.

OR does emp only fry stuff if it's on, when the emp goes off?
Generally it fries stuff that’s active, but try to figure out what is and isn’t ‘on’ in a modern vehicle...

That hasn’t been objectively true for a couple of decades at least, and is less true with every passing year...
I disagree wholeheartedly with your statement.
My Trackhawk can tow as much if not more than the Glad and with 700 + hp does it better. Hands down.

You may or may not disagree with my statement, but your reply doesn’t show any understanding of what I wrote *or* what I was communicating, so I really can’t tell.

Yeah 285 HP on the Pentastar, but at how many RPM? I believe 6400 was the magic number. You all may not care if you’re wringing that poor little bugger’s neck all day towing, but I do...

Not enough room for a bigger mill? I call BS on that. I compared a JL to JK side by side and the JL engine compartment looks quite similar.
Just do a search on “Hemi JK Swap” or “LS JK Swap”...

FCA has pretty well lost me as a JT Customer with the poor HP and 2-Zip-code long wheelbase of this truck. Hopefully they will come out with a Standard Cab or SuperCab edition with something under the hood that has some real balls...

I don't think so.

Oh man I cant wait for the ike gauntlet test. Above 10k 5th and 6th on the 6 speed jk are more or less useless accessories. Poor engine is going to be screaming to pull 6500lb with the v6 at any kind of speed. My 2 door jk cant keep speed up that hill without screaming and that's with it not pulling anything.

As for the no replacement for displacement the only item I can think of that isn't true with regards to that is electric. If you are suggesting turbos make it not true, lookup what the turbo is doing. Forcing more air into the engine to increase displacement via a pressurized intake rather than atmosphere or vacuum.

Please reread what drogers was talking about. It was not a statement about v6 vs. v8. It was a statement about electrical systems in cars . You are missing the point made.
