With the wife working from home and me driving my commuter Yaris we decided it was time to downsize/consolidate our menagerie of vehicles. We were dead set on a Mojave until we found this launch edition for a song. I’m going to try not to go nuts but it’s going to be tough, planning for something mild. 35s to handle mild trails or just life on the farm, some overland type stuff since space fills up quick with two kids and a winch....for now. It has to handle our cross country trips and hopefully I’ll get my act together and get the TJ back in one piece to be towed behind it.

Been a little busy but here’s an update. I found a deal on a RTT and then a JCR half rack so the Compact Camping brackets were ditched not long after I put them on but build plans change and were happy with the change so no complaints and being that It’s being built for our adventures the JCR rack gives us more area to mount things.

I dig that Weekender!

I have the "daily" which is quite solid, but was wishing for a little more water for, you know, a weekend. Will be keeping this one in mind.

How's the mounting like that on it's side? I presume you fill it with the garden hose, as that fill port on its side looks to be at half level mounted that way.

yes I fill it with a garden hose And it works great sideways. I didn’t really want to mount it sideways but since I had the same thought about the fill port but it was kind of the only way I could mount it unless I added something in the bed but then it wouldn’t get any sun.
