For me, it's the smile it puts on my face every time I look at it. That goes for the past CJ5, CJ7's, TJ, LJ, JKU's, and current JTR I own. I did have a '92 CBR600F2, and a 2013 Mustang GT Convertible that I was pretty fond of for a few years each, but nothing quite makes me grin as much as my Jeep when I see it in the parking lot. The "windows down, Door/top off" experience, just beats everything except a motorcycle for the driving/riding outdoor weather experience. I've owned practical vehicles in the past (Honda Civics, Ram 1500, Dodge Durango, Jeep Liberty, Isuzu Trooper, etc), but none of those were the least bit exciting.

A little general discussion starter here. Not sure if this has been posted yet or seen. Was uploaded 4 days ago so it's new. If so feel free to delete.

But, I cannot find a better explained narrative for the hate we often get from those outside of the Jeep community. The rebuttal response to each area of hate we receive in my opinion was explained perfectly in this. Exactly why I love this community!

What a perfect video, and perfect timing. I’m currently outdoors, in shorts, and a jacket, drinking scotch, by the fire. Why? No good reason whatsoever. Warmer inside? Oh yeah. Would I rather be comfortable? Nope. I’d rather be alive.

Also, my wife absolutely went to bed and rolled her eyes when I said I was going outside.

That video encapsulates us weirdos perfectly. Who cares if it makes sense? Sense is dumb.

Hey bro, I couldn’t twist your arm to let go of just one? Oh, and I’d have to be a Rubi!☺
Rubicon is overrated, it is possible to have fun with a Sahara or Sport too. ;)

I agree with this to a point. You can definitely have fun in any trim. The extra equipment on the Rubicon just ensure that you have less of a chance of breaking things when you attempt the harder stuff. Rubicon is great if you don’t have the skills or desire to fully build out your rig to your specifications and want something you can trail immediately. Sport is good for those who know what they want to do with a Jeep beforehand and have specific parts in mind to get it there. This is all coming from a wheeling off roady type perspective so take it with a grain of salt.

I agree. Sweet ride. I like the Rubi merely because that was what my 2006 was. You’re right, the Sahara and sport are loads of fun. After having JK and JL Rubis, it shows that the TJ Rubi only offered one additional feature and that was lockers which are great but really deep trails can get ya in trouble without the ability to dig deep. Ya wanna sell yours?šŸ˜
