Wow, you’ve had more than I have had but my favorite is and was still the 2006 TJ Rubi I had with the 4.0 I-6. ...But wouldn’t ya know it, I’m now looking again for a TJ Rubi. If you can find one they are being sold at a premium. Shoulda hung onto it, but hindsight is 20/20.
My 2006 LJ Rubi would be the LAST vehicle I would sell (and I have Several) ;)

Hey bro, I couldn’t twist your arm to let go of just one? Oh, and I’d have to be a Rubi!☺

If you go watch the baddest tacomas out there, they spent 25000 bucks to get a tire under it that a stock rubicon fits…. Then they go break on gatekeeper at the rubicon and have to ride shotgun with someone else to actually see the trail (that someone else did a solid axle swap).
I’ve owned taco’s back when they came with a solid axle, many many jeeps, full size lifted trucks both solid and IFS, and a lot of other toys.
Nothing out there more capable than a jeep for the kind of wheeling I do so I don’t really care what some dude on the internet says about it lol.

Same with my Harley’s. Yep, some kid with a hand me down crotch rocket or someone with a gold wing might feel the urge to post about how awful Harley’s are online, or slow, or whatever, but I was going mid 8’s at almost 160 on a crotch rocket when that kid hadn’t learned to ride a bike yet, and the gold wing guy is just angry when his dct transmission shuts the bed he’s gotta be towed 400 miles to find a dealer capable of servicing it and it cost even more than my bagger.

I like what I like and I’ve had them all at one point or another. Some clown on Facebook plays absolutely zero role in my decision making so it’s never bothered me.

But, I cannot find a better explained narrative for the hate we often get from those outside of the Jeep community. The rebuttal response to each area of hate we receive in my opinion was explained perfectly in this. Exactly why I love this community!

And we care ?? Why ?? Yeah ..we dont care what they think we like what we like and the rest can go suck an egg.

Since you brought up Toyotas: What’s the most common thing you see break out on the trail on those? I’m slowly building one. :bandit:

That was a great watch, thanks for sharing. So many truths for me in that video, but I’ve never got behind the wheel of a vehicle that has made me smile more and that has been more fun to drive. (Apart from my “cut-off” 110 Landrover Defender perhaps. That was a blast in the sand dunes!)

Wow, you’ve had more than I have had but my favorite is and was still the 2006 TJ Rubi I had with the 4.0 I-6. I traded that in for my 2012 JK Rubi, which I traded in later for my first JL. But I remember how I really enjoyed the size of the TJ, side by side with my 2012 w/the AEV buildup the TJ looked like a toy. But wouldn’t ya know it, I’m now looking again for a TJ Rubi. If you can find one they are being sold at a premium. Shoulda hung onto it, but hindsight is 20/20.
Speaking of premium…there’s one that just came on marketplace for over 20,000 near here (1.5 hours away) 06LJ Rubicon low miles. Sad that I still want it…but I’m building a house so no big purchases…for now.

Thanks for the input. Yes, practicality seems to get in the way but part of the fun is looking, it somewhat scratches that itch. Two things I still have trouble with as a “senior” are practicality and patience. I recently went down that road with the 392 which ‘scratched an itch’ but I ended up spending money I didn’t need to spend. The best of fortune to you and yours on the house build, that is the “practical choice” for sure.

I enjoyed the video. Of course it isn't accurate for all Wrangler owners. I assume that he meant to say Wrangler not Jeep. There are as many reasons to own a Wrangler as there are Wranglers.
