I’ve had the new steering box installed via the TSB, had death wobble twice. Dealership replaced the stabilizer, one tie rod end, pitman arm and the drag link. Steering still sucks, wanders, dead spot and so on. Has anyone actually gone full aftermarket with the steering system? What did you do? What parts, brands etc?

Do you have a lift or still stock height?

I personally have not retorqued anything myself...yet. DW was after the steering box TSB upgrade. 2” leveling spacer in the front.

To be clear, I have only had a hint of DW one time on an overpass in a turn since the fixes.

I’m just not happy with the way that it handles, that’s why I’m thinking of a rebuild. Never had steering this bad in my JK or XJ.

1) Loose the spacer up front.
or
Re align caster to something greater than 5.5 degrees. Good alignment for lifted big tire rigs is 6-8 degrees. PSC recommends 7 for their systems.
2) Steering system build.
- OEM box has a dead spot in it. Only Fix is to replace with an upgraded unit. Redhead or PSC are good choices. Recommend PSC.
- I run PSC box, pump and ram on all of my builds to include this latest Gladiator.
-Knuckles Several options Reid Racing makes some great products. add to that Dynatrac Ball joints and that problem is solved for the life of the rig.
- RockJock Currectlync makes High steer system Have that on my current JT. Will be swapping for Reid Racing knuckles and 2.5 T tie rod and drag link. If you are interested PM me. I am in Dahlgren VA.

What track bar are you using? If it is not a forged track bar replace it with a forged unit. Most everything else flexes under load and contributes to sloppy steering.

Control arms? again what are you using? look at a quality control arm Clayton, Evo, Teraflex adjustable arms are quite good and don't flex.
