Don’t touch anything! Have the dealer tow it! However if there’s a closer Jeep dealer that where Jeep Cares will take it for no immediate charge. However if it’s bad gas or anything related to nothing to do with the parts or workmanship? You will have to pay dealership service prices to remedy the issue. Then you will have to go after the s gas station! Good luck!

Any gas station is ONE delivery very away from having water in their gas. They all buy from the cheapest truck they can find. What you describe has happened to me before several times. And that is NOT a warranty repair. You’re on your own for cost.

Ordinarily I'd say clear the system by disconnecting the batteries, waiting and then discharging any thing left by touching the positive and negative cables while disconnected. This should clear the ECU and reset the whole shooting match.

But you're under warranty and it's entirely possible for the ECU to throw codes without a CEL.

The service department needs to be able to read those codes without any issues. Tell the dealer to send a rollback and let them do their thing.

Just park it and have dealer tow it in. Don't do anything. This allows the tech to have the best information about the issue. If it's not knocking and no CEL it's something simple.

Why don’t you open the fuel filter in a glass and see if there is water in the fuel

Here's a thought... depending on your mechanical prowess: (you never mentioned gas or diesel, you said it was new so I'm going gas here)... there should be a schrader valve on your fuel rail, get a fuel sample in a clear jar and look for water. If there is water, you have a choice; clear it yourself or have the dealer do it. To complicate that choice, if there is water and YOU clear it, you will likely see no compensation from the gas station, (which if said station, is a mom & pop indy you will probably not see any compensation either way unless you go to court). Other issues may crop up down the road, but IF the water has been cleared you will likely have warranty coverage.

If you go to the dealer, they will want to pull the tank, change the fuel pump therein, change all your lines, change the fuel rail and injectors.... a HEFTY bill to say the least which you may or may not be compensated for. Was this a national brand company store? (as opposed to an indy who sells a national brand)

Now if you don't see any water in the sample, then likely a faulty fuel pump (or attached filter) and it would be under warranty. Tough call for sure.

I’m pretty sure it’s not the gas
Drove the truck for several hours prior and there was no malfunction I also used the same gas station to fill my Acura. She is running perfectly. If it had been a gas issue you would know almost immediately! I’m pretty sure it’s in the transmission

So, then to the transmission.... does the issue only crop up in angle changes like going up and down a hill or can you make it come up with heavy acceleration on flat ground? Any Codes?

Yes it chugs up the hills ( this is just in my community) you can floor it and not much will happen…. I coasted up my driveway and parked and it that’s where will it will stay until Jeep comes and gets it . Could be something simple we shall see.

I know that you said batteries. But regardless, touching + and - together does nothing to enhance deleting memory. Nothing useful any how. Remove the fender ground for a few seconds is all it takes.
